Hi,
We need to connect Woo Commerce to Square to process credit cards. We also process credit cards through the Square card reader. We also need to show income by product and COGS by product. We only have about 15 products. We use Categories in Woo to facilitate parsing the data into income by product.
But this arrangement did not work in Desktop 2020 + Square + Woo. It took many months to figure out that the connector between Woo and Square was not compatible with the data formats required by Desktop. This meant a manual fix on every product item on every invoice that was created by the integration.
We are moving to QB Online in 2022 for a variety of reasons.
We need the sales data to transfer by transaction so that it can be sorted into income accounts by product and cost of goods sold by product. We use parent/child Categories in the Woo Commerce website so that we present a logical, orderly listing of our products by landing page and so that like products are on the same landing page.
Can we connect Woo to Square to Online with the third party apps so that the income is posted by product, not by summary of all product, and the cost data is posted to the appropriate COGS account?
I cannot believe that our tiny start-up is the only one using QuickBooks that needs sales by product and cost data by product. I have spent hours trying read about how to do this, but cannot find specific advice to tell me that it would work. Please help!

Have you explored this app to connect and reconcile your Square + WooCommerce transactions into your QB Desktop file or QB Online account?

Hey there, Rick7.
I'd like to check this for you and get it taken care of myself. However, all third-party applications (non-intuit) will no longer have access to their software.
You can check your third-party application or Woo's website for the steps on how to connect with QuickBooks Online.
There's also a community dedicated to developers and the creation of applications. This site contains resources for software development, as well as the ability to ask fellow developers questions.
You can find additional information about this at the following link: Intuit Developer.
In case you need help with connecting Square to QuickBooks Online, you can visit the following links:

Please know that I'm just a post away should you need anything else. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.
This reply is exactly what I am frustrated about. No one accepts responsibility for the QuickBooks Online Square Connector. Square does't. Quickbooks doesn't. OK, I will get in touch with the developer. Oh me, the developer IS UNKNOWN (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/online/integrations/square/). Square says call QB. QB says talk to the devloper.
I would be glad to call the developer. But the developer in the links provided all point to QB.
No, this answer from Rose didn't even come close. Rose, you do not understand the issue.
Yes, I looked at them along with 10 others. This company is in Belarus. Little USA support - I tried to call all the numbers posted on their website. Ring, no answer. I used 'chat' to try to talk with them late last night. "Roman" did not provide any answers.
Hi Fiat Lux,
here is a rough list:
QuikBooks Connector
Commerce Sync
Synder
SOS Inventory
Bookkeep
Zaphier
Dancing Numbers
Errorgenie
Did not bother to contact larger companies: Oracle, etc.
How much budget do you have? We didn't see one app in your list. It costs $40 per month to manage up to 500 orders per month + 1 sales channel + 1 user.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
