QBO Subscription Renewal

I can help you with eliminating the error you're having to create your transactions successfully, @TDK Ewusi

First, try to check the status of your account from your Account and Settings. Refer to the following steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon (⚙) and proceed to the Account and settings
  2. On the page that appears, select Billing & Subscription.

Check this article for more information about resubscribing to your account: How to resubscribe or reactivate QuickBooks Online

Once confirmed that you've renewed the subscription successfully, you can now clear your browser's cache. There are times that the browser you're using has information stored that's stopping or causing the error.

Go to your account by using a private browser or an incognito window, then try to create a transaction. If it works fine, clear the cache in the one that you're currently using.

This helps isolate the issue since it doesn’t store data in the cache. Here are the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge:  CTRL + Shift + P

If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Restart your browser right after. You can also try to create transactions using other supported browsers (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge) if the steps above didn’t work.

Here are some video tutorials that can help you achieve basic tasks in QuickBooks Online: Video tutorials for QuickBooks Online.

You can always get back to us here if you have other questions about managing your QuickBooks account. I'm always here to assist. Have a great day!

QBO Subscription Renewal

Thank @MJoy_D . I have checked for the status of the renewal and it states that the next renewal date is 22nd July 2022. However, I have cleared all the cache and cookies and even used a new machine as suggested but the problem still persists.  Are we not doing something right?

Please assist.

QBO Subscription Renewal

I appreciate your time getting back here, TDK Ewusi.

If the none of the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague MaryJoyD worked, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They can pull up your account and can investigate more of what's causing this inactive error when creating transactions.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. In the Help window, click the Contact Us button located at the bottom.
  3. Enter your question and click Let's talk.
  4. Choose either Start a chat or Call us.

If you have the new QuickBooks Assistant help update, you can follow these steps:

  1. In your QuickBooks Online account, go to the Help > Assistant.
  2. Type Talk to a human and click the Contact a human button.
  3. Select Live Chat / Call me back.

I'm also sharing this article in case you want to manually add the transactions to your account registers: Manually add transactions to account registers in QuickBooks Online.

You're always welcome to post a comment on this thread if you have any follow-up questions or other concerns. I'll be around to help you out again. Take care.
