I recently upgraded to QB Pro 2020 and have had no problems. This morning I had an update for the program. Now QB will not open. Can someone please help me? I have restarted my computer, but that did not help. I know it had something to do with the update. It was working fine last night when I turned it off.

Before proceeding, did you receive any error messages when you tried to open Quickbooks? In the meantime, I would recommend launching the Quickbooks Tool Hub. When trying to open Quick Books I get a message that I don't have permission, contact system admin.

If you're encountering our "You do not have sufficient permissions to the specified folder" message when trying to access a company file, there's a list of things that could be causing it:
Since there's a number of things that can cause this error to display, you'll want to check each possibility. Initially, I recommend downloading and installing a copy of our QuickBooks Tool Hub, then running QuickBooks File Doctor. Doing so can help fix common errors.
Next, try setting up QuickBooks to "Run as Administrator".
