Every time I do an inventory adjustment on quickbooks online it takes me a page to set up quickbooks checking afterwards. How do I stop this annoying behavior?
I can help you rectify this unexpected behavior and create an inventory adjustment successfully in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @acctggst.
One possible cause of the behavior you're experiencing is the result of outdated and corrupted cache files in your web browser. While browser caches help speed up browsing, they can sometimes lead to unexpected issues when excess data accumulates. Fortunately, we can resolve this with a few simple steps.
Let's start by signing into your QBO account using a private or incognito window. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts to save time:
Once you're signed in, create an inventory adjustment again. If it works without issue, return to your regular browser and clear its cache. Alternatively, you may also consider using a different supported browser.

@Nicole_N "While browser caches help speed up browsing, they can sometimes lead to unexpected issues when excess data accumulates. Only in QBO, though, it's super weird. No other app in the world has such consistent difficulty managing its cache."
Fixed that for you.
RE: No other app in the world has such consistent difficulty managing its cache.
I really don't think they even try. It's probably far too advanced a thing for feeble QuickBooks Online.
@BigRedConsulting "I really don't think they even try."
You know, I have seen one of (what I assume to be) Fiat Lux's entourage mention that they abuse their client's cache on purpose.
I'm not tech savvy enough to know how that would work, but on the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me if they'd found some esoteric way to squeeze a little more blood out of us.
I will give it a try but I am frequently having to clear my cache due to issues with quickbooks and this causes its own annoyances since every time I clear my cache I have to close the countless tool tips that keep popping up because quickbooks thinks I'm a new user and there is no way to turn this tool tips off.
clearning the cache did not work. Still being asked to set up quickbooks checking every time I do an inventory adjustment.
