So I'm trying to help a user. QB randomly crashes. When I look at the logs I can see the following.
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 22.0\qbform32.dll
Something is going on in qbform32.dll. Any ideas?
Already taken steps. Ran the tools hub, did a program repair, reinstalled c++ redistributable, cleared the updates log and updated again. The pc ran fine for a bit but then started crashing again.

I've got the steps on how to fix the crashing issue in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), asolano1.
This issue is often caused by Windows firewalls and security settings. QuickBooks Desktop's system requirements change with each new version.
To start, we can download and install most recent version (1.6.0.5) QuickBooks Tools Hub. After that, run QuickBooks File Doctor to check and fix any firewall issues.
Here's how:
1. Open the tool hub and navigate to Company File Issues.
2. Select Run QuickBooks File Doctor. It may take up to one minute for the file doctor to open. If it doesn't open, you can search for QuickBooks Desktop File Doctor and open it manually.
3. In QuickBooks File Doctor, select your company file from the dropdown menu. If you don’t see your file, choose Browse and search to locate it.
4. Choose Check your file and network, then hit Continue.
5. Enter your QuickBooks admin password and click Next.
If you're still experiencing the problem, you can move on to Step 3 in this article to find out how to manually configure the firewall. Set up firewall and security settings for QBDT. This article also includes additional troubleshooting steps for antivirus or firewall settings.
Moreover, you can check this out to learn how you can customize your report in QuickBooks Desktop.
Feel free to leave a comment below if you need more help in managing your company files in QBDT. I'll be here for further assistance.
Did the crash occur before or after opening any of your company files?
This occurs randomly when the user is working in the company file. QB desktop is installed on different computers and the user is opening a file hosted on a server on premise. This one user in particular is having issues with QB crashing.
I've called qb to troubleshoot this issue before. It worked fine for a week or two and now the issue rears it's head again.
I recognize how one of the workstations crashing issues has affected your business tasks, Asolano1. Let me discuss some information on how to handle this.
Given that the problem was resolved a month ago, and the same user is still encountering the same issue. Sometimes, a damaged or incompatible operating system can cause this error. An outdated Windows OS that doesn't meet the compatibility requirements of the QuickBooks application may lead to QB crashing errors, and consistently logging out the same user.
Since you've already been in contact with our QuickBooks Desktop Support and had the problem resolved, I suggest contacting the support for further assistance in completely resolving the issue.
