hello,
once i buy quickbooks enterprise platinum desktop,
would i need to pay for the license annually ?
or only if i want to upgrade?

Hey there, @goad.
Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I hope you're enjoying your day so far.
If you purchase QuickBooks Enterprise, you'll need to pay for an annual subscription plan to keep the license active. In doing this, it will allow for free upgrades each year as part of your subscription plan. You can review more details in Purchasing QuickBooks Enterprise.
Additionally, you contact our customer support team so they can set up your account and go over the details and pricing plans for you. I've included the steps below to connect with support.
1. Open QuickBooks.
2. From the Help menu, choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
3. Enter Contact Us from the search bar, then hit Contact Us at the bottom.
4. Pick the way you wish to speak with support (Callback, Chat, Etc.).
Let me know if you have further questions or concerns. You can reach out to the Community any time. Take care!
thanks for the quick reply tori,
just to be clear,
so my product will be expired after one year?
because here it say something else:
thank you :)
Hi there, goad.
Thanks for the question in the Community, I'm happy to shed some further light on the situation. While the program will still remain after one year, your enterprise subscription to the majority of your tools and feature would expire. Think of it like a vehicle that loses it's wheels after 1 year. It still has an engine and it still runs but many of the key features that make it work as intended are gone. So a new subscription is required. As you can see on the pricing page, the prices are for 1 year.
If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to post here whenever you need. Thanks for your time and hope you have a swell Monday afternoon!
You may purchase the annual subscription of QBD Enterprise thru a partner/reseller to get up to a 20% off perpetual discount. Anyway, why do you need using QBD Enterprise, not QBD Premier with a one time license?
The QB moderators talk like sales people. They talk in circles and provide unclear answers. I agree that it is annoying and hard to understand them. When I call to clarify things with their staff, I have to ask my questions several times and break it down for them to get the answers I am looking for. That being said, I love all of their software solutions. I am fully certified in all of them and continue to advance my knowledge. In regards to your question: You purchased Enterprise Platinum. That comes with Payroll, Advanced Inventory, and priority circle (support). You won't be able to use priority circle, payroll, or some of the advanced inventory features that come with your platinum license. I'm not sure if they will shut off the payroll mid year or not, that would need to be clarified by the QB people. To be safe, I would assume that they will. You can purchase that on it's own if you are not using the other features. I also don't know which or if all advanced inventory features will be turned off. You will find out when you try to use a feature if it doesn't work anymore.
