Same issue here. I started getting that error a month ago. Some invoices will go thru and some didn't which I had to send again at a later time. Today, I can't send any emails at all. I am so frustrated right now. Someone please fix this issue.

Quickbooks is unable to send emails due to network connection failure

I just contacted QB through the Help option within the software and received a call back within 2 minutes.  The tech instructed me to change to QuickBooks Email from Web Mail within Send Forms My Preferences.  I then was able to send the paystubs I was trying to send all day.  The only drawback is that these will not show up as sent emails in your gmail account and there is no way except checking with the recipient because all you receive is the pop up that says they were sent.

Quickbooks is unable to send emails due to network connection failure

I posted this a week ago, it might help you out. Worked for me!

Mine started doing this after QB forgot my email info. I had previously had mine setup manually, but used the auto setup with google this time ( which was laborious) After setting it up it would only send 3-7 emails and then give the network connection failure message.

After fiddling around a bit, I decided to just set it up again manually, saying "others" on pulldown menu when it asks what email provider. The outgoing SMTP server for Gmail is smtp.gmail.com then I clicked the box at bottom SSL/TLS and entered 465.  It works fine again. If you have a different provider you can look up the SMTP server info for them individually.

If you need more info on how I did this, feel free to ask. Hope that helps someone with the same problem!

I am having the same problem all of a sudden. It started yesterday or the day before. At first when I kept trying to send emails, eventually it would go through. Now, none will go through. I tried all the same things as you. New update issue?

It's absolutely NUTS that this has been going on for years and you haven't fixed it.  And now, today, NOBODY using Gmail can send email.  Millions of people are sending statements at this time.  The fact that you guys keep copying and pasting useless suggestions is really frustrating.

It just continues to show how little Intuit cares about its customers.

Thank you PBWCPC, you got me in the right direction.

I had a problem with error popping up for every computer at our office for sending out estimates or invoices (We have Gmail webmail). It started popping up randomly a few weeks before, but we just pushed the send button again, and it would send. Now though every time it happens.

I got it to work now, here is my fix:

For the Web Mail, select Other instead of Gmail.

Put in the stmp.gmail.com, 587, check box respectively. (Like PBWCPC says)

In Gmail, make sure you have IMAP enabled.

Make sure "Less Secure Apps" is enabled from your google account (This is what fixed it for me)

Then next time you send an email from QB, it will ask you to for your password. It worked for a couple computers in our office.

(Now I am having problem on another computer where it can't access the email server, but that is a separate company/email domain...not sure why though)

Quickbooks is unable to send emails due to network connection failure

I have sever clients who will get more than one email e.g. [email address removed] as well as [email address removed]

If any of the email addresses have changed and no longer are active e.g. jsmith no longer works at acme, you get the generic message saying qb is unable to send emails due to a network connection failure which sounds more like QB can't even ping 8.8.8.8 let alone send emails to anyone in the world.

I am also having this same issue. I need to send invoices so that my customers can pay with their credit card via the link attached to the email.  Please help!

What I found out was that the lack of effort in the error message is the issue.    The message sounds like QB is having trouble connecting to the internet.    The issue is that it is having trouble sending an email to a particular recipient.   I have some clients with multiple recipients - e.g. [email address removed] and [email address removed] and [email address removed]   if one of their email addresses changes or is disabled, e.g. jane smith no longer works for acme and her email account has been disabled, instead of getting a useful message e.g. unable to send email to [email address removed] you get qb has a network failure.

It took a while to figure out the source of the issue as I assumed QB would have better diagnostics.

OMG Thank you so much! I did this and it finally WORKED. Like you mentioned, I had to enable "Less secure apps" on my google account for it to work. Currently sending a batch of 60 invoices.

Wonderful!!

I must have had those settings already enabled previously. So glad it worked for you! Hopefully others can get theirs going as well now.  It was so frustrating at first.

I'm glad to hear engineers are working on this.  To be clear, the recipient address or number of recipients is not the issue for us.  We have tested multiple scenarios.  Also, configuring gmail to allow less secure apps may be a workaround, but we need to be able to use the enhanced security solution that Intuit developed a few years ago.  Gmail has been threatening to end support for less secure apps for a while now and I'm surprised to learn that it's still available.

@CMLLC

Thanks for this tip! it seems like this fixed it for me.

Although one can't see that it has been sent from the gmail account, you can still see it in the Employee, Vendor, or Customer profile. Just look at the Sent Email tab.

I contacted our hosting provider Right Networks.  They said they are working with Intuit to fix this issue.  They said we can email just not currently through Outlook.  Do you have an update as to when it might be fixed?

We are running into this too...  We are using outlook with enhanced security.  it seems if the if the cc field has more than one email address, they are separated by a comma or semicolon and a space.  If we remove the trailing space after the comma or semicolon and keep both email addresses.  we DO NOT get a network failure.

[email address removed], [email address removed]  == FAILED
[email address removed],[email address removed]  == SUCCESS.

The best part?  - if you send it without spaces.  and then SAVE the CC field when prompted...Quickbooks APPENDS a space after the comma or semicolon, basically breaking itself.
