Quickbooks Mac-Setup invoices to auto-fill rates for different customers?

Hi,

 

I would like to be able to set different billable rates and invoice templates for different customers, so that the invoice will automatically use the correct rate and invoice template when you select the customer.

So far I can't even find somewhere to set an hourly rate. 

Where can I set a labour rate for billable time?

 

Also, under time sheets, is it possible to put the time against a specific invoice so you don't have to sort through a large list of random hours when adding time to an invoice?

I'm here to share some information about setting up billable rates to different customers.

 

Billing rate is only available in Contractor, Professional Services, and Accountant versions of QuickBooks. There isn't a way we can set different billable rates and invoice templates for different customers and put a time against a specific invoice in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Quickbooks Mac-Setup invoices to auto-fill rates for different customers?

You absolutely can have billing rates in QB Mac. What you cannot do in any version of QB that I'm aware of is customize an invoice to automate it. You control your service items, if you have multiple billing rates then you have multiple service items that reflect those rates. Use the service item in your time tracking that applies to your customer then transfer those time entries when generating the invoice.
