Hello!
I've noticed this problem for quite a while now. My QuickBooks Menu Toolbar is quite slow. For example, clicking "File" or "Vendors" results in a slight lag in the menu appearing. This has been the case for a long time, and that's fine, but there seems to be some kind of bug where clicking on the top menu once (in order to expand it), QuickBooks thinks that the left-click button is being held, and selects that action. This happens with all of the computers in our office, and none of them seem to have any issues (3 of the 5 are brand new computers). All computers are clean (no malware, no other issues), drivers are up to date, and I have used a wireless mouse vs wired mouse to see if that effected anything (it did not).
We use two monitors at our office. This bug seems to trigger when using another application on one monitor, then trying to go back to use QuickBooks.
Is anyone else having this issue?
If needed, I can screen record both of my screens to capture the issue (just in case my description is confusing!)
Thank you!

Thanks for the detailed information, @Abishop.
You'll have to make sure your device meets the minimum system requirements in using QuickBooks. Also, the software should always be updated to its latest release.
However, if it's still the same, let's run the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool (QBInstall Tool). It will automatically diagnose and fix installation errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
Restart your computer after running the tool to ensure that it's properly updated.
Please refer to this article for more information: QuickBooks Desktop won't open, has stopped working, or not responding.
If you have other questions about the performance of QuickBooks software on your end. I’m always here to lend a hand. Keep safe always.

Hello!
Thank you for your quick response!
I'm certain that all of the computers here meet the minimum computing requirements - see below:
- Windows 10 Professional, 64-Bit
- AMD Ryzen 7, 3700X 8-Core Processor
- 16GB RAM
- Internet Connection is hardwire (not WiFi), internet connection OK
I ran the diagnostic tool and that seems like it worked!!!
Thank you!
It's our pleasure, Abishop. The toolhub has plenty of other great tools that you can use any time. Such as the QuickBooks File Doctor tool located in the Company File Issues tab. This article goes a little more into detail, fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub. If there's anything else, please let us know.
