Reminders - 'Open Online backup' won't clear

Hi there, 

 

I had the company file open when Intuit Data Protect tried to running the nightly backup, since then we've had several successful backups but the notification on Reminders will not clear, this is actually the first time it has ever shown up on Reminders... Any ideas on how to get rid of it?  I have run Verify Data and Rebuild Data already.

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've tried, ailoilo.

 

Not to worry, we can work together to get rid of the "Reminders" without a moment's delay. What we can do is to update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. I'll show you how to accomplish this:

 

  1. Close your company files and QuickBooks.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu.
  3. Search for QuickBooks Desktop. Right-click the icon and select Run as administrator.
  4. While on the No Company Open screen, go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  5. Go to the Options tab. Select Mark All and then select Save.
  6. Go to the Update Now tab and select the Reset Update checkbox.
  7. When you're ready, select Get Updates.

Once done, close and reopen QuickBooks Desktop, and then, install the updates by selecting Yes. When the install finishes, please reboot your computer.

 

With the steps above, you'll be able to keep your software updated so you have the latest features and fixes.

 

I'd appreciate it if you'll update me on how the steps work. I want to make sure this is taken care of.

Reminders - 'Open Online backup' won't clear

Hi. I am having the same problem. A '!' reminder to "Open Online backup" shows in all company files. Our backup is running successfully and I have tried the suggested steps, including running as administrator,  resetting all updates and rebooting computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Go to the Help menu. 
  2. Tap the QuickBooks Desktop Help option. 
  3. Click the Contact Us button/hyperlink. 
  4. Enter your question and hit Let's talk
  5. Scroll down and choose to Get a callback
