Buy nowI'm assuming you are addressing that question to "Intuit" ?
And never do Quickbooks updates again! ARGH!!!
Yes, this was Intuit's Tech Support. They were actually fantastic, although slow as heck. He said they are working on a fix, but who knows how long that will take. Just nuts.
I was questioning fran above.
The problem is that even if you recreate the report it will not export correctly. It prints wrong too.
Using Enterprise 24 desktop & updated to R13P on 2/24. Several standard reports messed up, even custom memorized reports have been affected. The standard Audit Report no longer shows the normal columns "Entered/Last Modified", "Last Modified By" that it has for the 15 years. I now see columns that were never there before. Screen shot is attached. I have already had to re-do formatting and options on some of my custom reports, re-memorize and overwrite the jacked up one. I run multiple standard & memorized reports DAILY. The AUDIT REPORT is an important one so I can track down a user if I have issues with change made to a transaction. The whole report has to be re-customized to include LITERALLY the most important data needed. I have 27 CUSTOM MEMORIZED REPORTS alone that I will have to review individually to see what data columns are missing, if I can even remember as most of these reports are several YEARS OLD!
I have some custom memorized reports I export to excel that are then submitted to vendors on a monthly basis to claim rebates. REBATES! THIS IS MONEY MY VENDORS GIVE ME BACK BASED ON ITEM SALES.
If I can't get these reports back the way they were, I can't submit the rebate claim which means I LOSE MONEY! I'm talking several thousand dollars a month I stand to lose over this!
These custom memorized reports took HOURS to create several YEARS ago! Do you have any idea how much of a screw up & inconvenience this is going to be and how much money I could lose if I can't get them back the way they were? How did this even happen? Go back to the YEARLY software upgrade and stop doing these random updates which literally take my company down during business hours to complete.
Most of us have been using this software for years and by now already know to verify and rebuild at the first sign of an issue. Of course we also know it NEVER fixes anything. It's a waste of time but it makes Intuit feel like they are actually giving us some kind of sound tech advice while they quietly panic over a screw up so massive! This is one of the biggest Muck Ups I've experienced in over 20 years using QB. I have 27 custom memorized reports that are messed up. Most of these reports were created YEARS ago, took hours to create and I use them on a regular basis. At this point, do we all say screw it and attempt to re-create or re-format our custom reports and risk losing those if and/or when the update to fix this mess gets released? I'm not spending hours after my business closes on the phone with someone I can't understand (sorry, but true) to do things I've already tried once with no success. Intuit should be reaching out via email to all QB customers informing them they are aware of a serious glitch in the R13P update. Heck, maybe even pull the update completely for anyone who hasn't downloaded it yet to save them the headache. This is not being handled very well at all. WE shouldn't have to call them when there is literally nothing they can do because their update is at fault. This is an Intuit Forum and they have people on here answering posts so they ALREADY KNOW there is a major problem. Don't make your customers waste time calling to be put on some "list" of R13P update screw ups. YOU KNOW EVERYONE THAT UPDATED IS AFFECTED. BOTTOM LINE!
Don't get your hopes up

You really don't get it. It's not an US, the customer issue. The R13P update has a major glitch that is affecting the reports, standard and custom memorized. Go back to the update and FIX IT
Yes, memorized reports I have used (for 20 years!) to pay my employees deferred compensation contributions are unusable after the latest update. The information is just NOT THERE when I generate the report. After messing with them for a long time I finally get the information I need but when I print the report, the amounts will not print. I have to export to Excel and mess with it yet again before I can print it.
This does not work. Intuit needs to fix this. We don't have time to waste on fixing these reports. If it is expected for us to waste our time on this, we should be getting discount for our time, at our hourly rates, for doing Intuit's work.

Looks like it's time to start looking for a replacement.
Does your QB not eventually force you to install the upgrade? Our Desktop Enterprise will only let us "ignore" an update so many times before it will not let us access the file until the server and all computers have been updated. Unfortunately when I did our update on Monday, I did the server as well so I can't un-ring any bells now.
I agree! How did this get released without being checked? Massive failure on their part.
It was the Russians! Seriously, I can't believe how big this screw up is. I've been fuming since I discovered it yesterday after upgrading Monday morning. I have 27 custom memorized reports that I'm going to have to re-do. Several of the standard ones don't even have the same data or formatting that they've had for years. Although I don't want to do all of that work and have another update screw it up again. Some of my reports took hours to create and were done 10+ years ago. This is beyond anything I've experienced with them in 25 years of using their product.
I too have been using QB's for many years. This all happened when we upgraded our version!! QB needs to fix the bug in the software!! This being over a week now for some has surely caused major headaches getting our work done!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately "verify data" & "run rebuild" does not fix the problem. I have been on the phone with QB customer support for over an hour and he could not determine a solution. I agree with everyone else this happen with the latest update. My reports worked perfectly last week.
Yea, Verify and Rebuild won't fix anything for this issue, because there's nothing wrong with your data. The issue is in the QuickBooks programming, where it seems report columns/data fields are getting all mixed up - even for the canned reports that aren't part of your company file in any way.
It's as if someone inserted a column in the middle of the report structure and then didn't update code that (stupidly) depends on the columns being in a specific position in that structure. Or something like that.
customer support told me they expect to release fixed update on Friday 2-28-25
Forgive me if I don't feel very optimistic that this is going to fix everyone's memorized custom reports.
I use Enterprise and this problem is affecting my version as well. They just want you to spend more money. Enterprise is better if you have more users and a lot of inventory items. We had to switch years ago because of the # of user licenses we needed was more than the other versions would allow. Otherwise what we had was fine. You're going to get the same kind of technical problems across the board regardless.
Pretty much the same here. Most of my reports were custom created YEARS ago! Some took hours to do. This isn't something that can be fixed in a jiffy.
