Sage 50 conversions - Help us to improve

Hello QuickBooks Community!

Our team are working hard to make it faster and easier to convert Sage 50 (US) files to QuickBooks Online. We're now testing and this is where we need your help.

If you have migrated from Sage 50 (US) to QuickBooks and you still have a copy of your Sage 50 data (ideally versions 2018-21) then we'd like to use it to test our conversion service improvements prior to releasing them to market. This will help us reduce the potential for errors for businesses who decide to make the switch in future.

Please contact me [email address removed]. Getting ready to convert Sage 50 to Quickbooks online. Was told (by QB help) it had to be done to desktop first, then migrate to online. That is not working, can 't get the process started with a trial version of desktop. Then I was told to use the dataswitcher tool to go direct to Online version - that seems to only be for Canada. Please help! Happy to help you imprOve this process any way I caN.

I appreciate your time and patience to let us know the results of the steps you've done.

In migrating Sage 50 to QuickBooks Online, we'll need first to convert it QuickBooks Desktop, then Online. The easiest way to migrate your data is to use the QuickBooks Desktop conversion tool. I'll guide you on the process.

Here are the steps:

Also, please take note of the transactions the conversion tool can't convert:

Employee Year-To-Date (YTD) information
Closed or partially closed Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and Estimates
Paychecks (will be converted as journal entries)
Individual employee wage or deduction information
Fixed Asset items
Work tickets
Payroll Items

If the steps don't work, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Support to further investigate your concern.

Not sure if I'm in the right forum but I'm trying to convert Sage 50 2022 to Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions 22.0 Desktop. It keeps telling me that the User Name & Password aren't correct for the company I'm trying to convert. I've had problems with this company in the past and have had to create a new company from backups so there is a specific company name I need to convert. How do make sure it is trying to convert the right company?
