Contact us in private if you need a recommendation. It offers the flexibility of the cloud, or the security of on-premise deployments. The pricing is consumption-based, so you can add additional users and features as your business grows without automatic bumps. The cost to you is based on the features and resources that you use, not the number of users who access the system. The price is determined by three factors:
What applications do you want to use?
What type of license are you considering: SaaS Subscription, Private Cloud Subscription, or Private Perpetual License?
What is your projected level of consumption based on the volume of your business transactions and data storage?
Quick books deleting the scan manager and replacing it with the mobile app is the stupidest thing on the planet. That means that my office staff has to use their personal cell phone to take pictures, upload, blah, blah blah. I though using computers was supposed to make one efficient. This new mobile app is a step backwards!!!!!!!!!! That is like telling the fiber optic people to start usi9ng string and soup cans again.
The purchase of Quick books 2022 Premier was the biggest mistake I have made in my 40 year business career. Never again. I will personally tell my story to as many people as I can. Do not purchase quickbooks 2022. Question. Do you all ever use the programs that you design. I suspect not.

Florida Decorating.
Removing this feature is basically a money grab (use one of our app partners for this feature that pays us for this benefit we stopped providing you so we can make more money off you) and one big F U to the customer base.
It is a money grab by Intuit. Pure and simple.
Please ask the dev team to add the scanner functionality as a future update. Thanks.
It's a wonderful concept to be able to attach a scanned bill to an invoice, @CPI_admin7878.

Christine,
I have already sent dozens of comments, feature requests, and posts about this, with no response. Your message is inconsequential. QB has either already made the ignorant decision to get rid of scanning and ignore the complaints, or has not taken the time to actually read the complaints and respond to them. Most likely, QB has alternative reasons besides listening to their users. No one can scan a 20 page document with their phone. Your users are real accountants and CPAs, not Twitter users working from home on their phone. If QB does not want to take the time to develop this themselves, they should pay someone to make it work as a plugin. Time is money. QB does not care about its users, and your PR post does not mean anything when we are getting ignored by our requests.
Also, after signing up for a feature request, I get
"We've closed the suggestion board."
What are you guys doing here!

What types of transactions do you need to scan? Bills, invoices, or both?

We may recommend a 3rd party app for this function to integrate with QBO. You will have 3 ways to import bills and invoices documents:
Scanning
Scan any document directly into the system in digital format.
Email
Using a customized email address, send the file via email to automatically be captured in the system. Attachments to emails are automatically pulled into the system therefore no downloading and uploading is required. In addition, the system can extract a document from an unprotected link within an email. For ease of reference, notes in the body of the email are automatically added to the workspace.
Mobile app
Take a photo of your document using the mobile app.
All of the above. Most people have many companies. Invoices can be one to dozens of pages! No one in their right mind wants to take a photo with their phone!
Thanks for listing out how QB works now without the integrated scanning application. This does not help me at all. We need the scanning function added back!
Totally agree, sometines I may have 25 documents to scan per transaction. I am NOT about to take
that many pics!! They will be loosing me as a customer.
Where did you land? I keep finding QB to be the best of the worst developed software...
This was a completely absurd move for Intuit to make. I cant believe I am paying thousands per year for an enterprise subscription just to have features my company relies on taken away! And a year later nothing has been done about it. BRING BACK SCAN MANAGER! If Intuit doesn't want to listen to their customers, it makes the decision to switch to a software provider that does inevitable.
We appreciate your feedback about the Scan Manager, SIPCO.
An old feature is normally discontinued if there's low usage or due to system restrictions.
A new feature was also introduced for newer versions of QuickBooks that replaced the Scan Manager. Using this, you can still scan or take a picture of a file and attach them to the transactions using your mobile app. Allow me to share these articles for guidance and additional details:
You can also send your feedback about the discontinuation directly to our engineers. Customer suggestions and other requests are collected and reviewed for future updates. Here's how::
Let me know if you have follow-up questions about the new feature. I'll jump right back to help you again.
No one cares about your app. No business professional wants to use an app versus a computer with a scanner. Maybe listen to the customers!
ANYONE that believes taking pics of 100 invoices and uploading them is acceptable IS A FOOL! FIX THIS!
Your "App" doesn't even exist on the iPhone app store on IOS 16 so this is useless!
NOTHING happened. Just more of the same lame BUY our 3rd party app or use our pathetic app to upload your invoice instead of using the scanner you bought that works SO MUCH BETTER and SAVES YOU TIME!
it took me several minutes to attache docs. I'm paying for this software to work more efficiently, time wasted is money wasted. I'll look for alternatives to this expensive time wasting tool
I was using the Brothers TWAIN Scanner. Cant understand why Quickbook removed the scanner feature and added more clicks to attach files. Would like too see them add it back and see how many users use the scanner feature.
I can share some information about attaching documents and scanners tested for compatibility in QuickBooks Desktop, @swfldog.
For QuickBooks Desktop 2022, you can use the QuickBooks Desktop mobile app to upload your documents. After uploading the document, you’ll find them in the Doc Center. From here, you can attach it to your transactions. Refer to this article for more information: Attach documents to transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.
You can still use Scan Manager in previous versions of QuickBooks. To check the list of supported scanners, check out this TWAIN-compliant scanners post. The option to include Brothers TWAIN Scanner will surely make your work faster and more efficient.
I invite you to provide input to our developers so that this feature can be added to future releases. Rest assured, I'll do the same on my end.
Here's how:
In case you're unable to scan and encountering an error, check out this article on how to resolve them: QuickBooks Scan Manager: Scan and attach documents to transactions.
Let me know if you need further information about scanners tested for compatibility with QuickBooks Desktop. I'm here to help. Have a wonderful day!
When I upgraded to Quickbook 2022, I figured out in less than five minutes that you discontinued the scan feature. I immediately returned to my 2021 version. Now its Dec. 2022 and my 2021 version is crashing every hour and you have taken away my ability to allow my customers to pay by credit card. I had no choice but to upgrade and I hate it. I am so upset with your company. We have been using Quickbooks since 2003 and I am going to request we find another Accounting Software program. Not being able to scan a document is a nightmare.
