Service address

The basic Online has a "service address" on the provided template, and it is noted as "Custom-1".  Although custom fields aren't supposed to be available in basic, if I look under Lists/Custom Fields, "Service address" is one of three listed custom fields.  However, I can't find a way to actually make use of this field.  I can't add a custom field for Service Address while editing a customer.  Is there a way to utilize this field?  If not, why is it a field on the template, and why is it listed under Custom Fields?

Service address

At this time, using custom fields in Simple Start is currently unavailable, @KFibI’ll share some information and provide a workaround to help you keep track of your customer’s address.

The availability of a certain features depends on the level of subscription that you have in QuickBooks Online. You’ll want to use the Notes section in setting up customer's profile. This way, if you need to update the address, you can just copy it.2.png

You’ll want to consider upgrading your basic online account to QuickBooks Online Plus or Essentials. From there, you can add custom data on your sales forms. See this article for more details: How to add custom fields to sales forms and purchase orders
