Need to reset a password of a user but the set-up users menu is not working. Nothing happens no matter how many times I clicked the menu. Tried running a rebuild of the database too but so far no luck.
Try creating a new user profile instead.
Hi praveenuduweriya. There may be an issue with the QuickBooks Enterprise Installation. If part of the installation has become corrupt then errors like this can occur. A step you can take to attempt fixing this would be to run a clean install. It's a pretty simple process and can be achieved in no time, just follow this article on performing a clean install of QuickBooks Desktop. After that, try again and try again. I tried this using another database and it worked fine. So I guess this is not an issue with the software? If so what could be?
When you pick that option you're usually prompted for the Admin user password. Does that happen?
If so, the user list window may be opening off-screen where you can't see it.
Try entering the password when prompted, but then hold down the Shift key and click OK button. That will reset the window position to the default.
