Buy nowI just imported my chart of accounts. I am trying to invoice a customer and when I get to the drop down in products, my chart of accounts is not showing. Is there something else I need to do so they will pull in my invoicing?
Thank you for coming to us today, @CPines.
You did an excellent job with your importing process. I'll lay out some details about the products and services listed under the invoice tab in QuickBooks.
First, may I ask what type of accounts you want to pull up from the products and services section?
QuickBooks allows us to create invoices that connect to the Chart of Accounts. It is one of the fantastic features that QuickBooks provides to all users and enables us to locate sales accounts within the invoice tab.
Furthermore, an invoice is a document issued by the seller to the buyer to collect payment; consequently, all of the accounts listed within the purchased products and services are income accounts.
In addition, users can add more accounts as needed to track different types of transactions. Learn how to add them to your financial reporting chart from this article: Add account to your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.
Keep in touch if you have follow-up questions or concerns with a chart of accounts. I'll be around to help. Take care, and have a great day ahead.
When I am in customer, create invoice, and then I go to the drop down menu for products and service, I don't have any of my chart of accounts choices. I'm not sure what I did wrong, or if I am missing a step so they will show.
