I have different users accessing multiple different company files over a network. This issue that is happening seems to be random with no pattern. In the morning the user will access the company file and will not have any issues, and then if they re-access the same company file later in the day, they could experience this issue. I have never had this issue with QB 2020, and I recently moved all of our company files to QB 2022. The end users run QB on a 2016 Windows terminal server.
This is the error the end user will get when attempting to open the company file.
File doctor actually detects no error if you run it on the server. The temporary solution is I open the company file on the server and then the user on their server is able to access the company file without any issue or file doctor pop up. This is only temporary, as the user may experience the issue again another day.
How big is your file size?
Company file size varies, a couple are in the 200MB range, 1 under 100MB, and the biggest is 990MB that I've seen so far.
My experience is that Pro and Premier data files start to take a long time to run reports at the 150-200 MB size. In addition, Pro and Premier become more susceptible to data corruption and other funky issues if they get to be too large. Consider to condense your files or purchase a 3rd party condense service to split them.
I have already ran the file doctor which did not find any errors with the files. I have also ran the tool hub on the server and that did not correct the issue.
I have ran the tool hub and the file doctor already the issue still happens. I plan on contacting technical support when the issue happens again to see what information they are willing to suggest.
I have many (over 20 for sure) company files in our organization over the 200MB range and have never had any issues with them. The only thing I would say is they can be slow to work with, but that is manageable.
I am having this same issue with one of my QB files. I have downloaded the latest version of File Doctor, and have run through pretty much everything that looked like it might help on the QB Tool Hub. Still can't open the file. QB, please help!

Just wanted to let you know I got my file opened. I ended up going to the Desktop Help as you suggested, and one of the suggestions was to restore the file from a recent backup. I knew it was working properly on Friday when I backed up at the end of the day, and I was unable to get it to open on Monday, so I just restored from Friday's backup and everything is good to go.
Thanks for helping!
Thanks for getting back @Connie at Sunset.
