Please put it back! Now there are 3 more steps just to get an invoice in. I use this feature all day every day. I am not interested in downloading all my docs to googld drive first. I"m not interested in saving all my docs to my hard drive first in order to drag them. I'm not interested in email forwarding. If quickbooks wants to add features, go ahead, but why do you take away what we use every day??
Why do you keep changing what is working? Please put it back for your customers who use it. I'm begging.
I want to ensure you have a better experience when using all features in QuickBooks Online (QBO), particularly the Receipts function, mbutler22. I've got some steps to help get the drag and drop option to appear in your company.
Data accumulation can sometimes result in unexpected responses in the online program such as buttons not working properly, and webpage issues. Let's log in to QuickBooks Online (QBO) in private browsing or incognito mode. This is to determine if the stored data in your browser is preventing the drag and drop option from appearing in the Receipts section.
Here are the shortcut keys to bring up private browsing in each browser:
If this works, shift back to your regular browser and clear the cache and cookies to start fresh and boost its overall performance. Otherwise, utilize another supported browser.
Also, I'll be sharing these resources that contain instructions on how to bring your receipts via email and using your mobile device:
Additionally, review and categorize your expense receipts or bills to the correct accounts to keep your records organized and streamline the reconciliation process.
Stay in touch if you have additional questions about managing your expenses or concerns about how to handle a specific accounting task. The Community is always ready to provide the guidance you need.
I'm not sure what in the world you are talking about. Are you not aware of the update on quickbooks online in the receipts drag/drop section? There is no longer a box to drag/drop. There is only an option to set up email forwarding or uploading files from goodle drive, or a new AI uipload receipts box after licking a few buttons that only allows ffiles to be dragged from my hard drive. (not allowing me to drag pdf attached files directly from my emails in outlook.) This box takes about 4 times as long for a file to be added to the list of receipts.
This update is unacceptable. This is too many steps. What can be done to restore the regular drag/drop box that has been there for years?!!!
This isn't the experience we'd want you to have, mbutler22. Allow me to route you to the appropriate support to resolve the disappearance of your drag-and-drop box.
We truly appreciate how valuable the drag-and-drop feature is for managing your receipts efficiently. Since this issue persists, I recommend contacting our support team. They have the expertise and tools to initiate a screen-sharing session, review your account, and investigate this matter further.

Please look at the view now in QB in the receipts area. Where did the drag/drop box go that was on the left hand side for years? Now I have to go to the green drop down and click upload files ? two extra steps? I have been able to drag PDF files from my outlook directly into the drag drop box for years, now i have to take extra steps AND the files won't drag directly from outlook. I have to download them to my hard drive, then go through the drop down, then wait fora new pop up, then drag from my hard drive. This is taking TOO long.. Please reset the view as it has been . Thank you!
