will my QBB data transfer to Solopreneur

I'm considering switching over to Solopreneur from Quickbooks Pro 2016.  Will my existing data transfer into Solopreneur?

will my QBB data transfer to Solopreneur

Hello Philip. QuickBooks Solopreneur is tailored for small businesses and offers a focused set of features. In contrast, QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) provides a broader range of features, including advanced accounting and payroll tools.

Transferring data from QBDT to QuickBooks Solopreneur isn't possible due to the differing nature of the programs and the unique features in one that unsupported in the other.

Alternatively, you can consider switching to QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you want to subscribe, visit our pricing and plans to select which suits your business needs.

Ensure your QBDT is up-to-date and create a backup of your company file to prevent potential losses due to unforeseen circumstances before initiating any changes.

If you're using the Pro or Premier version, please follow these steps on how to transfer your data:

  1. Head to the Company menu. Pick Export Your Company File to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Get Started. Sign in as an admin to your QBO company.
  3. Select Choose an online company, and choose which you want to replace with your company file.
  4. Continue once done.

If you're using the Enterprise version, here's how to do it:

  1. Sign in as an admin to the desktop company file you want to move.
  2. Press Ctrl + 1 on your keyboard to open the Product Information window.
  3. Pin Ctrl + B + Q. Click OK to display the export window, then tick Get Started.
  4. Sign in as an admin to your QBO company.
  5. Select Choose online company. Pick the one you want to replace with your company file.
  6. Hit Continue.

Moreover, you can check out this article to help you handle your account: Get started and adjust settings after you sign up

On the other hand, to manage your subscription, you can check out this article: Learn about your billing, payment, and subscription info.

Small businesses that require a simple accounting solution may prefer Solopreneur, while medium to large companies with more complex accounting requirements may find QBO's comprehensive features more beneficial. Ultimately, your specific business needs and budget will determine the best option for you.

@PhilipBrowning

QBSP is a stand-alone app. You can only able to convert data to QB Online. Why don't you stay with your QB Desktop with a non subscription license?
