I've got the proper solutions for this, @nimeshsoni1591

I appreciate you for providing a screenshot of the error you've received when creating a new company file from an existing one.

Here are the potential causes of this issue:

  • QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Enterprise 2020 is outdated.
  • The new file is larger than 3MB.
  • A damaged QuickBooks installation.
  • The file is saved on a different computer or through a network when you create it.

First, let's make sure the program is updated to the latest release to fix this. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Help menu and choose Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Select Update Now
  3. Click Get Updates to start the download.
  4. Restart QuickBooks when the download is complete.
  5. When prompted, accept the option to install the new release.

Second, move the company file to another folder and then re-open the file from the new location. Here's how:

  1. Open a local folder where you want to save your file. Then, right-click anywhere.
  2. Click New and choose Folder.
  3. Type in your desired folder name. Make sure not to use special characters (! " # $ % & ‘ * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^ { | } ~).
  4. Go to the folder where your existing company file is saved in.
  5. Right-click on the file and select Copy.
  6. Open the folder you created. Right-click anywhere and select Paste.
  7. If the file name has special characters, right-click on it and select Rename. Make any necessary changes and then click anywhere.

After that, recreate a new company file from an existing one to see if it works. If not, follow the Steps 3 - 6 through this article: Fix Error in reload.sql at line XXXXX

Once resolved, you can start using QuickBooks right away, such as creating invoices. To help you get familiar with the program and learn more about its basics, check out these two links below

I'll lend a helping hand if you need anything else. Keep safe.

@vikingpepper

Were you able to create a dummy file or open a sample one? If you didn't see the error message, it means your company file is damaged. Contact Support and ask for Intuit Data Service to fix it. Otherwise you have to purchase a 3rd party file repair service.

Are you telling us that we now need to move files off the network to create new files from existing files?  Is this a temporary workaround while Intuit fixes an issue?
