We're not asking for you to 'improve the correction feature'. Nobody asked about a 'correction feature', whatever that is.

 

Customers expect products/features that work. Fixing a feature after you've carelessly broken it is not 'improving' the feature, as if you're making it better. It's just making work what used to work before you broke it. It's less than what customers expect for their money. Far less.

In Intuit's world...    "What's does ETA mean?"  I figure they have no idea how long it's going to take because this was a really big screwup.

Thanks for joining this thread. I want to make sure you're able to successfully run reports in your QuickBooks Desktop account.

 

To get the most up to date info about this case I recommend reaching out to a member of the QuickBooks Desktop Support Team. If you haven't done so yet, an agent will be able to get you added to the list of affected companies, as well as give you an update about the fix. Here's how to get in touch with the team:

 

1. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
2. Select Contact Us.
3. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
4. Sign in to your Intuit account and select Continue and then Continue with my account.
5. We'll email you a single use code. Enter your code and select Continue. (If you have more than one account, select the account you want to use and then Continue.)
6. Select to chat with us or have us call you.

Why? There's nothing they can do. And we all expect you to post "the most up to date info about this case" right here on the community - on this thread - when Intuit gets around to fixing it. It's the very least you could do - something that's actually helpful.

Don't waste your time fixing reports unless you need to use them. I fixed mine Friday and they were messed up again on Monday.

Yesterday, I spoke with my contact that I spoke to last week, and he said if you contact Intuit, they will add your email address to their customer email list for this problem and when solution, etc., is available, they will email direct to you.  Will be the fastest way to find out status of this mess.  Really has messed up everyone's data.  I believe we should get discount on next renewals.....that is if anybody continues to keep QB after all this.

PPPCola, I am working with Enterprise and having the same problem. So, don't upgrade thinking you will avoid the screw-ups at Intuit.

My file is housed on RightWorks. I didn't do a lot of work yesterday and I think I'm going to restore my file from Friday.  This is bologna!

 

HEY INTUIT................ENTERPRISE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. WHEN DO YOU THINK YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIX THIS?!!!!!!!!

Well, first the the right team will have to become aware of it.  And then be made to care.  And then they'll have a meeting to discuss how this issue stacks up against the others they have.  Maybe someone will put on a slide show.  Then they'll assign the issue to an engineer.  He'll be out on a religeous holiday for a few days (there are about 200 religious holidays per year in India). When he returns to work he'll spend a few days reading email. Then he'll look at the bug and spend a week or two trying to figure the issue out. Then he'll check in a fix that the testing department won't like as it doesn't work. Then he'll try again and the process will repeat.  Eventually they might get it right. Then they'll slate the fix for the next scheduled update, which will probably be in a few months.

 

Don't hold your breath waiting for a fix!

So, I asked RightWorks if restoring my file from Friday would help with this problem.

They said, "This was a version and payroll update Intuit sent out a few days ago. So, rolling back would not affect the new version of the application."

I'm terrified to find out what it has done to payroll!

So, it seems that Intuit must realize that all their advice to 'CONTACT SUPPORT' will accomplish nothing and is a stall tactic to try to keep the minions under control until they actually deal with this.

Tell me if I'm wrong.

FElon is probably too busy firing people to care about Intuit.

 

He should be more worried about Tesla stock, which is down 40% from it's recent high - because its aging and generally terrible cars aren't selling.

Not just reports. Also progress invoices/ estimates are broken.

 

Update to fix these things supposed to be released Friday 2-28-2025.

I tried to fix my reports as well.  They would not even put it in the report correctly.  If I was able to fix it manually that would be great!  When I tried to put the report in Excel the data was missing and was not even in the correct order.  I agree with CindyBev,  don't bother it won't fix it.  Just a waste of time.

I reached out to tech support twice regarding these issues. After the update, I was initially unable to open our file. Then, I quickly discovered that memorized reports weren’t working. When I called tech support again, the representative laughed at the situation before eventually adding me to the list. However, I received no confirmation that I was actually on your so-called notification list. Not sure what good it will do.

I’m extremely disappointed (putting as mildly as I can) in your company for allowing this error to happen. This lack of communication and support is unacceptable.

 

What compensation will we receive for being unable to use a product we pay so much for? Our hands have been tied due to this issue, and we deserve a resolution.

Using Enterprise 24 desktop & updated to R13P on 2/24.  Several standard reports messed up, even custom memorized reports have been affected.  The standard Audit Report no longer shows the normal columns "Entered/Last Modified", "Last Modified By" that it has for the 15 years.  I now see columns that were never there before.  Screen shot is attached.  I have already had to re-do formatting and options on some of my custom reports, re-memorize and overwrite the jacked up one.  I run multiple standard & memorized reports DAILY.  The AUDIT REPORT is an important one so I can track down a user if I have issues with change made to a transaction.  The whole report has to be re-customized to include LITERALLY the most important data needed.  I have 27 CUSTOM MEMORIZED REPORTS alone that I will have to review individually to see what data columns are missing, if I can even remember as most of these reports are several YEARS OLD!

I have some custom memorized reports I export to excel that are then submitted to vendors on a monthly basis to claim rebates.  REBATES! THIS IS MONEY MY VENDORS GIVE ME BACK BASED ON ITEM SALES.

If I can't get these reports back the way they were, I can't submit the rebate claim which means I LOSE MONEY! I'm talking several thousand dollars a month I stand to lose over this!

These custom memorized reports took HOURS to create several YEARS ago! Do you have any idea how much of a screw up & inconvenience this is going to be and how much money I could lose if I can't get them back the way they were?  How did this even happen? Go back to the YEARLY software upgrade and stop doing these random updates which literally take my company down during business hours to complete.

Mine are screwed up as well. Waiting on a chat with support, not because expect an immediate resolution but mainly to get on the list. For all the $ Enterprise costs, this is terrible.

I don't know how they plan on rolling back an update so that the reports go back to the way they were.  Standard ones maybe, but I don't think they'll be able to fix what has been messed up on anyone's custom memorized reports since they are user specific.  Colossal screw up on their part.

Yeah....I found this out also.  Gave up trying to tweak old report.  Just having to make a new one.  What a real pain in the tush!

Noticed on the side of this thread...comments from QBO.....they must be having some of these problems also.

Whomever compiled that destructive R13 update.....go back to elementary programming school.  Learn to test your work several different ways before putting it out there!

After an hour or so on the phone with tech support last night, I did get a fix!!  I had only done the updates on my computer and not on the Server computer in our office, so the tech deleted Quickbooks from my computer and then downloaded and reinstalled it to my computer.  This worked!!!  I have all of my memorized reports back in

the correct format, THANK GOODNESS!   Call technical support and ask if this can be done while they work on the fix for this.  What a freaking nightmare.
