Using Accountant Desktop Plus 2024. Just did latest update and now all my reports are messed up in my clients files. What's going on?
I'm here to make sure you get all the help you need with your reports, VBSP. I've got your back every step of the way. Let's tackle this task together and make it a breeze!
To be sure we're on the same page, can you provide a bit more detail about the issues you're experiencing with your reports after the update? Are any reports missing, or are the amounts inaccurate?
If reports are missing, we can use the Verify Data and Rebuild Data tools to fix any data-related issues. This will help identify any errors or damaged data and refresh your QuickBooks company file.
Before we start, make sure to create a backup copy of your company file. This way, you can easily restore it and undo any changes if needed.
To verify the data, here's how:
If QuickBooks finds any errors during the verification process, go back to the File menu, hover over Utilities, and select Rebuild Data. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the data rebuild process.
For comprehensive instructions regarding these steps, you can check out this article: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.
If the amounts on your reports are incorrect, check the filters you've applied. Filters help narrow down your data to specific criteria, like date ranges, account types, or individual accounts. This ensures the amounts shown in your reports match your selected criteria. For more details on customizing your reports, refer to this article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
It's also a good idea to save your report's customization settings if you run them regularly. Here's a guide on how to do that: Create, access and modify memorized reports.
In case you mean something else, comment back and provide more details. We're always here to help.
Sounds bad! In what ways are they 'messed up'?
I'm having the same problem. It unchecked the debits and credits that I had chosen to display and added a Sales Price and Cost column. When I go to print the reports it shifts all the columns after the Number column to the right. It is trying to put the Name column in the Clr column. It would be nice if a human could respond to the issue instead of an AI generated response.
Gentleman by the name of Kory, that I talked to yesterday at Intuit really tried to help me out....he went up the ladder to higher techs. I was the first one having this problem.
Anyone that has just updated their program of late, check to see if you are having problem with memorized reports. Don't wait until you need to pull them. IF you are getting messed up reports, PLEASE notify QuickBooks. The more complaints they receive, the sooner the problem goes to the higher Techs and programmers.
Having to redo messed up reports is really a pain in the tush.

Rea_M Kory from QB did that all and more with my QuickBooks yesterday. None of it fixed the problem.
We all know how to do it the verify and rebuild and it has been stated several times THAT DOESNT WORK!!! This is a quickbooks software issue that needs to get fixed ASAP!!
Same problem and I did report it to QB. There is obviously an issue with their software update and hopefully they will correct very soon.
I have the same issue with the reports adding weird columns that cannot be removed. I have reported the issue but just wanted to post here to let the admins know the update sucks.
@Lijsda1 It's not ideal, of course, but they can be removed; if you resize a column to nothing, it removes the column from the report.
That didn't work for me.
@tctamanda That implies your program is in some way damaged.
If you click and hold on the three vertical dots to the right of the title of a column, then drag the mouse cursor beyond the three vertical dots to the left of the title of the column, it'll always remove the column in question.
The only exception is if you only have one column on a report; there always has to be at least one column present.
I am having same issue. All memorized reports are fouled up and if I try to fix it with proper columns when I print it, it moves all data over two columns on the printed copy on the screen it shows correct print not so much.
When I added columns I had to add extra columns of data to get report to show correct.
What is a good phone to contact them at? I am having same problem.
It must be incredibly challenging to encounter the memorized reports and the printing issues, stecman72. I can offer alternative options to get this sorted out for you immediately.

QuickBooks Tool Hub does not fix the problems we are having. If you would have read the previous comments on this thread, you would have seen where several have tried the Tool Hub and it does not fix the problems. QB Techs and programmers need to find the glitch and fix these problems.
I've been using Quickbooks desktop for over 30 years now and this is definitely a software glitch that happened right after this last update.
None of my memorized reports are the same.
Many not displaying the AMOUNTS or BALANCE Columns - instead they are replaced by other columns that are not even checked off in the display section.
After fixing the memorized report, the “printed” report isn’t the “displayed” report.
Even after REcreating a report and selecting print options (like using Smart page breaks or Fit Report to 1 page wide) then memorizing it, those options are unselected the next time I attempt to print it.
It’s so FRUSTRATING that I find myself constantly wasting time through no fault of my own.
I run the Rebuild/Verify data at least weekly and there have rarely been any errors found. None today either.
YOU MUST FIX THIS PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY!
THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. More people are finding out now that their memorized reports are messed up also. The only help we have received is "Moderators" giving us the textbook "first step to take" (which is their job). HOWEVER, you would have thought one of them would have passed this thread onto a programmer / higher up tech, because what they have suggested HAS NOT WORKED for any of us. The glitch needs to be fixed as soon as possible AND we need know the techs are working on it by them, themselves, inputting a reply to this thread.
Intuit's program prices increase every year, you would think we'd be receiving better, faster resolutions.
I recognize the challenge you're facing despite the efforts, still things are not progressing as you hoped, VBSP. However, its best to reach out again to our QB Desktop live support team for they have a lot of tools to sort this messed up reports promptly. You can refer to the steps that provided by my previous colleague above.
Additionally, in reaching out to the programmer or higher technical team, it's still best to consult the Live support team, for they are the one who can check this further.
Furthermore, to get to know when the best time is to reach Desktop support team, you can have this article for reference: Get help with QuickBooks products and services.
Finally, once this issue is resolved, you can refer to this article to learn how to export your reports to Excel in QuickBooks Desktop, allowing you to manually modify your report information: Export reports as Excel workbooks in QuickBooks Desktop.
The reports that were completed but suddenly became ruined, really need a thorough review to be addressed with appropriate actions and solutions. If you have any other concerns related to the reports, please feel free to respond back, and we will address them promptly.
I spoke with Kory at Contact Us Support last Wednesday (2/19). I will try to contact him today to see if he has found out if any techs are trying to resolve these problems. I will let everyone know what I find out.
Agree completely. Can we please have a fix
I am working with an inventory report. It was our list of items to be ordered set to current date with filters for items with quantity on hand under minimum re-order quantity.
I can edit the report, remove all selected columns, then edit the report again and add them back. HOWEVER all of my inventory related filters are missing.
Repairing the file did not work. Running the quickbooks desktop help tool did not work for us.
INTUIT DEVELOPERS, please provide an update and ETA for a fix?
Feedback for INTUIT DEVELOPERS
Thankfully, reminders are working which show a less detailed list of inventory items to be ordered.
Any update is appreciated.
Update for INTUIT DEVELOPERS,
