Let me help you enable the Washington (WA) agency tax agency so you can set it up for sales tax, 0987workandrow.

Based on your screenshot, the state of WA is greyed out. This happens when the agency isn't active on the settings.

You need to activate it to include the agency in the sales tax rate. Here are the steps you can follow to accomplish this:

  1. Select Taxes from the left menu, then choose Sales Tax.
  2. Go to Sales tax settings
  3. Review the list of inactive agencies.
  4. Click the Gear icon beside the Add agency button.
  5. Put a checkmark in the Include inactive under Other
    enable sales tax agency.PNG
  6. Click anywhere on the same page, then click Make active.
  7. Once done, you can modify the agency my clicking the Edit link under Action.

You can also click the Add agency button to set up local tax agency for WA.

Sales Tax or copying and restoring company file

@MaryLandT Thank you for your reply. the item in the list is gray because I am already utilizing it. The state sales tax is active and in use as WA. I needed a way to set up the local tax. There is no local tax to choose from so I'm wondering if there is a way to bypass this or maybe I'm missing some back office feature. Is there another tab or set up I can access to enter tax information?
