Is there a way for me to export the scanned receipts?

Hello, @Karinbaron.

It's nice to see you in the Community. I'm here to help share a way to export your scanned receipts in QuickBooks.

You can export the receipts by uploading an attachment. You can add, edit, and download images or documents using this feature.

Let me show you how:

  1. On your QuickBooks account, go to the Gear Icon.
  2. Select All Lists.
  3. Under Lists, click Attachments.
  4. Click the Attachments tab to select the file you want to attach.
  5. You can also select Export from the Batch actions for your uploaded attachments.

That should do it. If you need help in going through the steps, you can always contact the QuickBooks Online Chat support for assistance.

Let me know if you have other questions about exporting scanned receipts. I'm just a post away if you need my help. Have a great weekend.

Great - thanks.  How do I import them now into my current account?   Thanks

Hello there, Karin.

We're unable to import the attachments in QuickBooks Online. You'll want to manually attach the documents/pictures in each transaction.

Here's how:

  1. Open the transaction.
  2. Click Attachments.
  3. Choose a document/picture, then click Open.
  4. Click Save and close or Save and new.

I also suggest sending feedback. If you don’t mind taking a few moments to provide your idea to our product engineers, we would really appreciate it. This will help us improve our product and services. You can do that by clicking the Gear icon, then choosing Feedback
