Setting up webmail

I am looking at moving from using Outlook to send emails to using webmail.  Our company runs our own email server, so it would actually work out better for us.

I have all the information for Quickbooks to login to the sending email account, but it won't let me use it.

On our email server, the username (user ID) is the following:  name.hhm

The email server does not use the full email address for login purposes (including Outlooks login), but QB will only allow me to use a full email address and the server will not recognize that as a login option.

Is there anyway to force QB to utilize the above shown username to login.

Thanks in advance.

Setting up webmail

We're always looking for ways to make your experience with QuickBooks more convenient and enjoyable, @cdhodgdon.

Currently, forcing QuickBooks to utilize the username that you've mentioned is unavailable. I'd recommend sending feedback to our engineers. Ideas from our users enable our creators to develop solutions to enhance your experience.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online and choose Product Suggestions
  3. Type your comment in the box.
  4. Click Send Feedback

Suggestions from users are constantly improving the program. In addition, you can voice your opinion about what you would like to see in the future of QuickBooks by going to the company website and voting on suggestions. To access the page, visit this link: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks.

As a workaround, I'd recommend entering the full email address. For more details about setting webmail to work in QuickBooks, check out this link: Connect your email to QuickBooks Desktop

Moreover, visit this article on how to learn what to do if QuickBooks won't accept your webmail password: Fix webmail password issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

Feel free to mention my name if you have other concerns about QuickBooks. I'd be pleased to assist you. Stay safe.

I'll do better than that.  I will reach out the Beta Development as well, since I take part in that.  Thanks
