Hello Community,
We don't ship but we do do deliveries. Our ship date should match our invoice date. How can I make this happen? And also can I modify our invoice template to say delivery date instead of ship date?
Thank you.
Hello, Susan! The shipping date on the invoice will automatically match the invoice date when you first create the transaction after opening your company file. If you manually alter the shipping date, it will no longer automatically correspond to the invoice date.
To fix this, you can close your company file by going to the File menu and reopening it to start afresh. Alternatively, you can manually enter your desired date.
Meanwhile, to change your shipping date to a delivery date, you can follow these steps:
Moreover, you can email your sales forms, invoices, and statements in the future. This functionality will allow recipients to access the document from anywhere at any time.
By following these recommended steps, the customer could ensure that the invoice date matches the delivery date, and their invoice template could replace the term Ship Date to Delivery Date. Let me know if you need further help, Susan.
Hello ShyMae - Thank you for your rapid response. I would like to have these invoices automatically reflect the day the invoice was created. My invoices are imported into QB from a 3rd party delivery software which has the delivery date as the invoice date. Is there a way to put a formula into the shipping date on the QB invoice that is generated to reflect the invoice date? There are too many each day to go in and edit each shipping date. Thank you.
