This is not the impression we want you to have when opening your company file in QuickBooks Desktop. Logging in to your Intuit account and verifying your identity helps you protect your data and your account. This is to make sure that you, and only you, can access your account.
Additionally, QuickBooks is accounting software, it's necessary to have the credentials like the user and the password in compliance with the law. You can select the option Remind me in 7 days to stop you from logging into the account.
You can always visit our help page for relevant articles that you can use in managing your QuickBooks account.

Hi, @djc1309.
Hope you're doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about signing up your desktop app you had yesterday. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I'd be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
Hello,
No - I have not been able to find where to disable this nuisance. You failed to send me to a link that specifically addresses this bothersome issue.
I reviewed my preferences and could not find anything in it to turn this off. I went out to the help link that you posted and searched for "Disable
I have my QuickBooks on my own PC. It is behind a commercial grade router. I do not need the so-called "Security" that you referenced in your initial reply. I do not use your On-Line option, nor will I ever use it. Too much risk of exposure.
So Again - How do I opt out of this nuisance?
Thank You
David
Can you please refer me to a solution?
Thank you for getting back to us, @djc1309.
Allow me to provide additional information and help you isolate your signing-in issue.
QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) has an option to choose how long a user can remain logged in, with a maximum of 90 days. It's possible that the option was set to 7 days that's why you're required to log in to your QBDT account every week. In your case, you can adjust the option to the maximum number of days (90) to stay logged in to your company file for a longer period. Here's how:
After the option is enabled, you can open your company file without entering your login credentials for 90 days. For more information, feel free to check out this article: Stay logged in to QuickBooks company file (sign in without entering your password).
Just in case you lost or forgot your password in the future, you can read this article to learn how to reset it: Reset your password for QuickBooks Desktop.
I'm still open to your replies, @djc1309. If you have additional questions about QuickBooks Desktop, feel free to comment below. We're always here to help you.
Hello Mark,
First, THANK YOU for your reply. However, I think there has been a misunderstanding as to the nuisance I am referring to. My current setting in the company file is set to log me off every time I exit QuickBooks and that is perfect. I do not want to be logged in when my bookkeeper needs to get logged in,
The annoyance that I am referring to is About every two weeks I am asked to sign into my Intuit account. I have to click on several things several times before I will FINALLY get a screen that asks whether I am the Admin or not. I then click on the one that says I am NOT the admin and it will let me in. Then about two weeks down the road I get the same intrusive message.
I am using QBDT. If I were using the cloud model, I would understand the added security. But WHY do I have to jump through all these hoops when the QB is on my internal system??
Any way to turn this OFF?????????
Thanks
David
This isn't the kind of impression we want you to have when accessing your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file, @djc1309. That's why I'm here to share further details about this.
The security of your account is our top priority in QuickBooks. The prompt to sign in to your Intuit account is a setup to safeguard your information and protect your privacy. Any way to turn this feature off is unavailable to ensure unauthorized access to your data.
To learn more about Intuit data privacy, I encourage you to check out this article: Intuit Privacy Statement.
Also, to further guide you in managing your Intuit account and to answer the most frequently asked questions about ensuring the protection of your data, I'd recommend checking out these articles:

Please feel free to let me know if you have other concerns about managing your Intuit account and keeping the security of your QBDT company. You can drop a comment below, and I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @djc1309.
Dear Sirs,
Once again, this annoying message to sign into my account so that I can use a product that I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR popped up. I tried logging in with the same login ID and password that I use when logging into my account at intuit.com, but it does not work. It keeps telling me that my grace period is over and that I need to log into Intuit. If I click on the login long enough and then go to "Not the Admin" it will finally let me send a reminder to myself that I need to fix this problem.
I want to disable this nuisance. Please quit trying to blow smoke up my dress that this is for SECURITY reasons. My system is on a single - stand alone computer with no access to the internet until I plug in the network cable. You don't have any security against intruders that is stronger than that. You simply want to get me on some sort of a mailing list where you can keep sending me reminders to buy more stuff from Intuit.
How do I turn this OFF???????????????????
