some statements not printing correctly

We are in the middle of printing statements and some are not printing correctly. It is almost like it is glitching out. The Statement No ect is supposed to be on the right hand side. Today half of the are in the middle left. Not showing the statement no or the amount due.

some statements not printing correctly

Hey there, Womacks Printing Place.

Thanks for joining us here in the Community. I'm happy to lend a hand so you're able to successfully print statements in QuickBooks Online without issue.

While it may sound insignificant, a good starting point for the type off issues you've described is to clear the browser cache. The cache is in place to collect frequently used data, to make loading web pages quicker and easier. If it becomes too full, certain viewing and performance errors within the system can be the result. Clearing the cache will remove anything that's preventing your statements to load and print correctly. Here's how to get this done in Chrome for example:

  1. At the top right, click More (vertical ellipses), then Delete browsing data.
  2. Choose a time range, like Last hour or All time.
  3. Select the types of information you want to remove.
  4. Click Delete data.

The following article provides similar steps depending on which browser you're using: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

Please give this a try and let me know how things look (and print) afterward. I'm only a comment or post away if you have any other questions.

I'm having the same issue with our statements.

I have cleared the cache and that didn't work.

Thanks for chiming in and letting us know the results of clearing the cache, accounting482.

Since clearing the cache didn't resolve the printing problem, here are a few other commonly used troubleshooting steps:

  • Adjust Print Alignment: If the statement is not fitting in window envelopes, ensure the scaling is set to 100% or adjust your browser's print settings to "Default" or "Fit to page" rather than "Shrink to printable area".
  • Update Adobe Reader: QuickBooks relies on Adobe Reader to generate PDFs. An outdated reader can cause printing errors, including missing content.
  • Check Browser Settings: Sometimes, print settings from the browser, such as margins or headers/footers, can misalign the document. Ensure the orientation is set to "Portrait" and scale is set to "Default".
  • Recreate/Edit Template: If the number is still missing, the customized form template might be damaged. Go to Settings, select Custom Form Styles, and edit the template to ensure the "Statement Number" field is enabled.

If the issue persists I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Online Support Team. Agents have specialized tools, like the ability to share your screen, to take a more in depth look at what could be causing the printing issues. Here's how to get in touch with the team: Get help with QuickBooks products and services.

Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any other questions. I'll be here to help in any way that I can.
