Starting from Scratch

I am using QuickBooks Accountant Online. While my business was starting, I used the account to run her books instead of mine. I've now gotten her a subscription to Self-Employed and need to start my business at the beginning of this year, however I have her expenses and income muddling my own books.

I know I can't "purge" it as the account is over 60 days old.

I need to start from scratch. I need to create a new account. Can I create a new firm and use my same intuit account? Since I took my ProAdvisor exam on this account, will I lose it or can I transfer it to a new account?

Hello, MRV_Books.

Yes, you can create a new account using your existing Intuit credentials. Then, I suggest reaching out to our ProAdvisor support to help you transfer the certificate.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter your concern in the Type something field, then click the send icon.
  4. Click on I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. You can either select Chat with us or Have us call you.

Also, you can check your active certification by going through, Team, then the Training tab, and choosing training and certification history

Please see this article for more information on QuickBooks Online Certification: Frequently Asked Questions about ProAdvisor Certification.

Please don't hesitate to get back to me If there's anything you need assistance with regarding your certification in QBO.

I'm having difficulty creating a new account using my credentials. Whenever I try to do so, it tells me that the username is taken and asks me to either recover the account or sign in.

If I log in, I can't find anywhere to create a new account.

If I log in via Intuit, I can't find anything there to create a new firm.
