Tax checklist has disappeared from my profile. How do I send Quickbooks info to Turbo Tax?

I have tried signing out, using other browsers, and clearing my cache. The "tax checklist" button that used to be next to my profile is gone. What can I do about this ?

We appreciate your effort in trying to fix the issue, @mattdoesnotliketaxes.

I'm here to ensure you're able to access your tax checklist in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

In QBSE, there's a new way to prepare your tax checklist. And I'm happy to guide you through the procedure.

Here's how you can do it:

  1. Open the Taxes menu.
  2. Click on Annual.
  3. Review your tax checklist.
  4. Hit Let's get started.

You can already run financial reports once your finished with your tax checklist.

You can email your reports to someone who files your tax return for you. You can also offer your accountant access to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account if they use QuickBooks Online Accountant.

Don't hesitate to send us a reply if you have additional concerns with taxes of QuickBooks. We're here to back you up. Stay safe and have a good one!

Hello, mattdoesnotliketaxes.

To isolate the issue, I'd like to make sure this isn't a problem with the browser. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. It's possible that the browser stores frequently accessed data, thus causing websites, like QuickBooks, to act weirdly.

Let's start by:

  1. Accessing your QBSE account through a private/incognito window. This mode doesn't save your web searches and site data. You can use the keyboard short cuts that I've listed below:

    • Google Chrome (CTRL+SHIFT+N)
    • Safari (⌘+SHIFT+N)
    • Mozilla Firefox (CTRL+SHIFT+P)
    • Microsoft Edge (CTRL+SHIFT+P)

  2. Let's try to edit your information again. If you're able to do it, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to get rid of the accumulated junk files.

  3. If the same thing happens, we can use other supported browsers. The one you're currently using may have a temporary issue with QuickBooks. Using a different one for the meantime will help you get back to work.

Furthermore, you can refer to this article to learn more on how to complete the tax checklist and create a file of all your tax documents in QBSE: QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide. It also provides special notes for our tax bundle customers.

I'm always here to help if you have any other concerns or questions. Just tag my name in the comment section and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Take care!
