The QB desktop app is stuck in print check setup mode. I cannot print checks even though I have completed the setup process.

The QB desktop app is stuck in print check setup mode. I cannot print checks even though I have completed the setup process.

We can run some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue you are experiencing with your QuickBooks Desktop app, @Retired.

 

Let's begin by resetting the app data to clear its cache. This will help remove any excessive cache that has accumulated in your QBO. You can start by refreshing your mobile app and device settings. To do this, click on Help and then select Reset App Data.

 

We can uninstall and reinstall the QuickBooks Desktop application. Doing so can achieve a clean installation that resolves any app-related problems. Let me show you how to do it.

 

  1. Open the Windows Start menu. Search for Control Panel, then open it.
  2. Select Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program.
  3. From the list of programs, choose the version of QuickBooks you want to uninstall.
  4. Tap on Uninstall/Change and then Remove.
  5. Hit Next.

 

To reinstall:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online Advanced or Accountant account from a web browser.
  2. Go to the Gear Icon, and select Get the desktop app.
  3. Hit Download for Windows.
