Join nowI have been unable to sign into Quik Books Self Employed online for 2 days. No error messages ever display. I can sign into the support portion with no issue. I am able to reach the program on my phone through the APP but need to get into the online version.
Is anyone else seeing this issue?
I've checked here on my end and found no related issues about this, @TeamDel.
Rest assured I'm here to help you and ensure you'll be able to access your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account via a regular browser.
Let's rule out a possible browser caching issue. The browser uses cache and cookies to help load web pages faster the next time you visit a site. However, too much of it causes uncommon behavior that affects the performance of your account.
To verify this, I recommend accessing your account in a private or incognito window. This is a great way of identifying the root cause of the issue as this doesn't save any data files. You can refer to these keyboard shortcuts on how to open a private mode.
If you’re able to log in to your account via an incognito window, I’d suggest clearing your regular browser's cache to refresh the system. If the issue persists, I recommend using other supported browsers. This way, we can see and check if this is a browser-specific issue.
Once everything is all set, you might want to check out this link for reference in seamlessly tracking your mileage: Automatically track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I'll be around whenever you need help logging in to your account or any QuickBooks-related concerns you may have. Just simply add them in your response and I'll take care of it for you. Stay safe!
I went incognito and still the same result. I cleared the cache and that did it.
Thanks!
Yes. When I click on "Sign In" and enter my password it appears to start the process, but I get the revolving blue dots and that is as far as it goes.
Hello there, @hnmont. I'll work with you to make sure you're able to sign in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account via the web browser.
Before we start, I'd like to verify if you've tried the troubleshooting steps above? If you haven't already, I would encourage you to do so. This is because based on your description, your sign-in error is due to your browser's collection of data over time from frequent page visits.
To isolate this, I'd first recommend accessing your QBSE account in a private or incognito window. It won't save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Here's how:
If you're able to do so, return to your default browser and clear its cache. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues. However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.
In case the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team. They can create a case to further investigate the cause of your sign-in error and guide you with a fix. Here's how:
Also, you may want to check out one of our help articles to further guide you in categorizing your self-employed transactions in QBSE: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Please keep me posted in the comments on how it goes. In case there's anything else you need or concerns about signing in to your QBSE account and managing transactions, I'll gladly help. Take care always, @hnmont.
