It looks like the company file that you're opening wasn't saved locally, mccannb2002.
Saving QuickBooks using your USB drive isn't advisable. There's a possibility that auto-updates in QuickBooks may not apply. You'll want to make sure to save your company file in your local folder. Then, that's the time you can create a back using your External drive.
However, if you've already done what is required and you're still getting the error, I suggest reaching out to our support team to help you verify why you're getting this error. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment.
Here's how to reach them:
- Open QuickBooks.
- Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
- Select Contact Us.
- Enter your concern, then select Continue.
- Choose a way to connect with us:
- Start messaging with a support expert.
- Get a callback from the next available expert.
