Thanks for joining the Community space, @druckerman.

Yes, you can print a purchase order without pricing in QuickBooks. Just go to the Custom Form Style and uncheck the box beside Rate and Amount. I'll guide you how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Custom Form Style under Your Company.
  3. Look for the Standard form, then click the Edit button under Action.
  4. Select the Content section.
  5. Click the middle of the form and uncheck the box beside rate and amount.
  6. Click Done.

Then, you can now print your purchase order without pricing, here's how:

  1. Open the Purchase Order created or create a new one.
  2. On the bottom of the page, click on Print.
  3. On the Print Preview page, click on Print.

Once you're done printing the purchase order, you'll have to edit the Custom Form Style to original as it will affect the invoice and sales receipt.

Using QuickBook Plus Online. Can I print a purchase order without pricing. Thank you.

Hi Joesem M,

Thank you for the information. I need to remove all pricing including the total in the footer. I am trying to create a Work Order that I can print without pricing to use in my shop.

I get the feeling I will not be able to do this.

Thanks again!

HI there, @druckerman.

Removing the total footer of the purchase order isn’t possible in QuickBooks Online. In QuickBooks Desktop Premier and Enterprise have a feature called Sales Order. This can be modified into a work order form. The sales order feature does exactly like the work order, which they link orders to specific customers and invoices.

In QuickBooks Online, you can use the concept of Estimate. This feature also links to customers and can also be converted into an invoice. For additional information on how to create Estimate please check this article: Set up and use estimates.

Don't hesitate to comment below if you have other questions in mind. I'd be glad to assist you right away. Have a great day!

Hi MaryAnn_E,

Thank you for the information. I initally subscribed to Essentials online and that didn't have the features I needed so I switched to Premier Desktop 2020 and spent a few days imputting client info since we weren't able to import. I also spent a few hours customizing forms including the sales order. Then I called in to set up the new merchant account and the agent was surprised that I had switched to desktop. I explained why I had and she assured me that Online Plus was able to create Sales Orders. I am finding out now that is not possible. I am very disappointed that I was misled and the ordeal has cost me a week that could have been spent serving my clients.
