vendor disappears from vendor list when entry is made (QB desktop). I need to close the vendor list and reopen it in order to see the vendor

I’ll help you with pulling up vendor lists seamlessly in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @HK55.

 

We can use the Verify and Rebuild data utilities. Having said that, we can verify and correct the most typical data errors in your company file. Please make sure your QuickBooks Desktop is up to date as well.

 

Here’s how:

 

  1. Go to Window, then Close All.
  2. From the File menu, click Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to back up your data.
  5. When the tool finishes, select OK.
  6. Go to the File menu, then click Utilities.
  7. Click Verify Data, then select Rebuild Now once QuickBooks finds an issue with your company file.

The rebuild did not solve the disappearing vendor problem.

I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Desktop support team. This way, a representative can check and investigate to determine the root cause of the issue. They'll then provide you with the best possible way to fix it. To get a call or chat from us, here's how:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.

 

For Pro, Premier, Plus support is available Monday to Friday at 6 AM to 6 PM.
