I get kicked out of Quickbooks whenever I go into Vendors/Receipt Management

I recognize how critical it is to navigate QuickBooks efficiently. Let me walk you through some troubleshooting steps that may help you resolve this issue. This way, we can ensure that you can open the Receipt Management window without being kicked out of the program.

 

You should make sure your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) has the newest features and enhancements. By doing this, we can stop strange behavior from happening. 

 

If the issue persists, I advise repairing your company file using the Rebuild Data tool. This is a built-in tool in QuickBooks Desktop that can help you fix some minor data issues within the system.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the File menu and select Utilities.
  2. Click Verify Data and hit OK to close all windows. 
  3. If there are no problems with your data, you're done. 
  4. If you see Your data has failed the integrity check, go back to Utilities and select Rebuild Data
  5. Click OK to make a backup to prevent data loss along the process.
  6. Hit OK to continue the rebuild process.

If issue remains, I suggest running the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This tool fixes common errors in your QBDT. Proceed with the following steps:

 

  1. Close your QuickBooks and download our QuickBooks Tool Hub
  2. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to install.
  4. When the installation finishes, open the tool hub on your Windows desktop.
  5. Select Program Problems.
  6. Click Quick Fix my Program.
  7. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.
