Virtual Server Compatibility

I am designing a file server and would like to use a virtualized server with two or three different servers inside a HyperV.  I will convert the customer to a domain network and they would like to remote in through a VPN client to a Termserver to actually run Quickbook 2019 Enterprise and the latest POS software.

Questions:

  • Can I run both POS and Enterprise on a vitualized server as stated.
  • Can I put both POS and Enterprise data on the DATASERVER and it also be a Domain Controller or do I need to separate them as some database systems require and provide a separate domain controller from the database server.
  • Also can I run both programs on a terminal server.

I need this information so I can proceed and know how many server licenses to purchase.

Thank You.

Hello there, EZPZ.

We have different system requirements for the versions and latest release of your QuickBooks Desktop and Point of Sale software. You can check out these references for more details:

I'd also recommend reaching out to our Intuit Developers so they can help you with the integration and designing a file server in HyperV. You can click here.

I'm just here if you have other questions. You take care and stay safe!
