This is exactly what I'm seeing, except I'm a Sole Proprietor, which I assume means my actual name needs to show in the Payer's block so it doesn't get rejected by the IRS? And like you said, you can't get the the DBA name to even show then on the 1099.
Same situation and guess what? I was able to VOID them this morning and do a new efile and INTUIT did NOT include a checkmark in the CORRECTED section!!!!!!!!! I am going to lose it.
How could you have us VOID 1099s and instruct us to reprocess and NOT check the box for Corrected??
I just contacted one of our contractors who said they received their 1099 yesterday (the REJECTED one) and I was hoping they had NOT gone out because now the contractors are going to receive a 2nd 1099 WITHOUT the corrected box checked!!! Intuit what a disaster you have created this year. What do you have to say about this?

I need to Void a previously e filed 1099-MISC that "has" been accepted. According to what I have read if you originally e filed the form that needs voiding you need to e file the Voided form as well. I do not see this option in QuickBooks. How can I e file a 1099 that needs to be voided?
If it has been accepted by IRS, you have to wait and file an correction 1099. You cannot void it. I think Feb 7th is when that option becomes available.
The problem is that the 1099 shouldn't have been sent. It needs to be voided not corrected.
Hello, @Howe.
Allow me to share some insights about voiding your accepted e-file.
Yes, I agree with @vtsarah. Currently, QuickBooks Online does not support the correction of already accepted (by paper or e-file) 1099s. Voiding is only applicable to 1099s in a rejected status. Once a 1099 is accepted by the IRS, the recommendation is to file an amended return or correction. Amended returns can typically be filed early in February.
You can refer to this article in filing amended to make corrections: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks.

This does not help at all. I need to void previously sent 1099s NOT correct or amend. IRS says since I e filed through QB I would need to void by e file through QuickBooks. I'm at a loss on what I can do to fix my issue.
You cannot Void a 1099 form accepted by e- file like you cannot Void a 1099 form if it was mailed. It has ti be amended and that option will be available Feb 7th. It is a week after the required filing date. I assume the Amend option will show up on QBooks at that time. Void only shows up as an option when a 1099 is rejected. I also have some 1099 forms to amend and I am waiting for that function to be visible on QBooks after Feb 7th.
