Hi there, Stonemm.
I'd like to share an overview and give you some steps. In QuickBooks, voiding partial lines are unavailable. You can either delete the lines or delete/void the whole journal entry.
To edit and remove the lines in a journal entry, you can follow the steps below. Before doing so, I'd recommend consulting with your accountant for advice.
Here's how:
- Go to the Company > Make General Journal Entries.
- Click Find and enter the Name, Date, Entry No., or Amount then select Find.
- Double-click the journal entry, and highlight the item you wish to remove.
- Click the Edit menu at the top and select Delete Line.
- Hit Save & Close to record the changes.
Please see this sample screenshot for reference:
For deleting and voiding the transaction, you can check out this article for the instructions: Create a journal entry in QuickBooks Desktop.
I'm just a few clicks away if you have any additional questions or concerns. Take care and stay safe.
