The option to add a code for the P.O No. field on the sales order email template is currently unavailable.
I understand you want to generate the P.O number automatically by creating a code when emailing your sales order. However, QuickBooks will only generate the form number (S.O No.) on the email template. As an alternative, you can consider entering the P.O No. manually from the subject line before sending the email.
Also, I encourage you to submit feedback directly to our product engineers. They may look into this suggestion and consider adding the option in the future update. To send feedback, please follow the step below:
- Open your QuickBooks Desktop company file.
- Go to the Help menu, then select Send Feedback Online and choose Product Suggestion.
- Enter your feedback and click Submit.
