Let's make sure you'll be able to update the W-4 information of an employee, rajivvermamd.
Generally, you should be able to update an existing W-4 in QuickBooks Online (QBO) without any issues. May I know what specific error message are you getting when trying to change the information?
We can access your QBO account using a private window. I've provided the keyboard shortcuts below:
Once done, double-check if you're able to update the w-4 information. If so, return to your default browser and clear the cache to speed up the loading process. Sometimes, the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate.
However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.
Additionally, you'll have to secure the records and forms that you need when hiring employees. You can check out some of this information to give you more details: Hiring Employees.
Please keep in touch if you have any questions about W-4 forms. I'll always be right here if you need anything else.
