How do I replace an existing W-4 with an updated W-4

Let me first welcome you here in the Community,  usertreasurer6.

I know a way on how to update an existing W-4 in QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu and then choose Employees.
  2. Select the name of the employee.
  3. Choose Edit ✎ beside Pay.
  4. Hit the 2020 W-4 or later radio button.
  5. Click on Update
  6. Enter the employee's W-4 information into the form.
  7. Select Done to save.

Once done, you can print a W-4 form from your QuickBooks Online account.

I've also added an article that'll help you learn more about the updated W-4 form:  FAQs on the 2020 Form W-4.

In case you'll need assistance in dealing with payroll tasks, don't hesitate to get back on this thread. We're always here to help you.
