When the Discrepancy Report flags a transaction that was undone or unmatched, you now see a 'Go to register' button. If you already rematched or reposted the transaction, open the register and mark it 'R' for reconciled. One click to the register instead of navigating there and finding the account yourself.
Total rows in detailed reports like Transaction Detail by Account now show just the account name. The extra 'with sub-accounts' wording on each total line is gone, so long reports are easier to scan. Less time reading around labels when you review or share a report.
The iOS app now shows a warning before you disconnect a bank account, so you can confirm or back out. Less time reconnecting a bank and waiting for transactions to come back after an accidental tap.
When you restore a deleted journal entry whose Accounts Receivable line has no customer, you can now choose one and try the restore again. If your settings don't allow that, you see a clear message, and the restore now shows the payee name it brings back. You can finish the restore from the Discrepancy Report instead of going to the register.
When you restore a deleted journal entry where the Accounts Payable line has no vendor, you can now choose one and try the restore again. If your settings don't allow that, you will see a clear message and can still use 'Go to register'. You can finish the restore from the Discrepancy Report instead of going to the register.
If your company is locked and only your accountant with primary admin rights can add or edit data, restoring a deleted transaction now tells you the reason. Previously, the restore in the Discrepancy Report failed without explanation. You know who to contact right away instead of having to retry.
When a 'Needs Attention' alert covers several deposits, such as '5 deposits are on hold', clicking it now opens your Deposits list showing only deposits with that status. The Deposits list also has a new 'Status' filter you can use any time. No more scanning every deposit to find the ones on hold.
Tapping 'See all bank accounts' on the Business Feed in the iOS app now takes you to your bank accounts on UK companies. Previously, the page could fail to load, even though other Business Feed cards worked. Get straight to categorizing transactions without going to the bank transactions page the long way.
Rolling out gradually: for businesses that started taking payments before finishing setup, the banner on edit and preview payment options changes with your setup, inviting you to turn on online payments or to link a bank account so payments can be deposited. The 'Link bank account' button takes you straight there, so you know what's left before money reaches your bank.
Rolling out gradually: if you started accepting payments before finishing setup, invoices show a 'You have money on hold' banner with the date to link a bank account by, and admins can open setup directly from the 'Link bank account' link. No more wondering why payments haven't been deposited or missing the deadline.
When a reconciled bank feed match is undone or unmatched, the Discrepancy Report now labels it as its own type of discrepancy. It shows the suggested fix for that case instead of treating it as a generic deletion. You get to the right next step without having to work it out yourself.
The 'Go to Pending' button in the Discrepancy Report now opens Banking on the 'Pending' tab for the account you're reconciling. Previously, Banking could open a different account. No need to switch accounts to find the transaction you need to match.
Discrepancy Reports with up to 60 discrepancies now load in full. When there are more than 60, you see a banner with the count and a link to the History by account report. You get a clear next step instead of waiting on a report that won't load.
When you restore a deleted transaction from the Discrepancy Report and its reference number is already in use, you can now confirm the duplicate and finish restoring. Other problems, like an Undeposited Funds deposit or an invalid account type, now show a clear message instead of a generic failure. You don't have to recreate the transaction by hand to get it back.
The 'What happened' section of the Discrepancy Report now shows only an expert's first name when a QuickBooks expert makes the change. Previously, it showed the expert's full name. You still see who made a change without the extra personal details on the page.
When you restore a deleted transaction from the Discrepancy Report, you can now pick or change its category from a searchable list. This is available when your register settings allow editing the category. You can fix the category during the restore instead of editing the transaction afterward.
Fixed an issue where the iOS app showed 'We're having trouble loading Transactions', often with error 10000, when US companies opened their bank transactions. Review and categorize transactions on your phone without retrying or switching to the web.
When the difference on a reconciliation reaches $0, the Discrepancy Report now shows a green checkmark. You get a clear signal that the reconciled period balances again after your fixes. No need to recheck the numbers before moving on to the next account.
If you restore a deleted transaction from the Discrepancy Report and its date falls before your books closing date, you now see a message saying the books are closed. Previously, the restore would fail with no clear reason. You know right away to adjust the closing date or the transaction, without trial and error.
Bank connections for five providers now hit error 350 less often; this error happened when the connection bounced back and forth between QuickBooks and the bank's sign-in. Fewer retries before your bank account is connected and transactions start coming in.
The 'Charge' tooltip on 'Receive payment' and 'Sales receipt' now gives a clearer timeline for when charged funds will reach your bank account. Less time wondering where your money is or contacting support to find out.
When you restore a deleted transaction from the Discrepancy Report, QuickBooks now tells you if a name or list item (i.e. vendor) was also deleted. Previously, the restore would fail without saying why. You now know what to fix first instead of retrying a restore that won't work.
When a 'Needs Attention' alert is about a single deposit, clicking it now opens that deposit's details panel on your Deposits list. Previously, you would land on the full list and have to find the deposit yourself. Get straight to the deposit that needs attention, even when you have many.
