Just why? I pay a lot to use this so shouldn't that be enough? It has gotten to the point of me going back to physical books if it can't be turned off.

Does this application have a time limit for each sessions?

When I filed my Qtr 1 941 report in April I had a discrepancy of $131.83. I hadn’t realized there was an error and was against the wall to file my report so I simply did an override. I thought wow, that was easy. And it was - until Qtr 2 came along.I know where the discrepancy occurred. For some reason the company contribution on one employee’s paycheck (3/20/26) had been set at $0.00. I received a CP161 notice and paid it through EFTPS on 6/2/26. Now QB shows I have a CREDIT of $131.83. I can’t find an adjustment or anything anywhere. I’ve tried every kind of adjustment I can think of and nothing changes. I tried adding the deduction back onto the employees paycheck (careful not to change the net pay) and it didn’t work. I even deleted the payment  I made through EFTPS but the “credit” remains. I’m now almost 2 weeks late on filing the Qtr 2 report. All I can find online is that you need to make an adjustment -- I find nothing about HOW to do it. I ran a payroll checkup and of course

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.  Allowed Camera, Location (allowed all the time), Notifications, Photos and videos, Physical Activity.  Some days it will catch all trips without issue.  With no changes made and the phone showing that Mileage is being recorded, that mileage fails to appear unreviewed and just seems to disappear.  It missed a 400 mile trip this week.  Frustrating in that one reason I picked QB was not needing to pay for an additional app such as Everlance that I used to use.  

Hello Everyone, As of September4, 2026 Quickbooks is forcing everyone to allow them to make and file your payroll tax payments for you. If you do not comply you cannot use payroll services. This is BS

DAY 41 OF THIS ONGOING NIGHTMARE USING QUICKBOOKSI've been a QuickBooks customer for over 15 years and have trusted the platform with thousands of pages of financial records. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been nothing short of a NIGHTMARE.We were forced to migrate from QuickBooks Desktop 2023 after being told it was no longer supported and purchased QuickBooks Enterprise. Since then, it has been one problem after another.Our payroll still doesn't work. Payroll taxes are not being withheld from employee paychecks. We cannot file our quarterly payroll tax returns (NOW BEING PENALIZED.). We've been told the cause is a security hold on our account due to a system "glitch."The solution is supposedly simple: the Security Department needs to verify our business. Yet after now 12 separate support calls, each lasting 1–2 hours, we've made absolutely no progress.Every representative has been courteous and has genuinely tried to help, but the outcome is always the same:"The Security tea

Example - big job (better word) with 3 grants to complete. Each grant has its own class, would it be better to create the job as the class and then have a project for each grantor that points to the class? I want to use time tracking for jobs also.

CPA Firm doing payroll for a multitude of customers.  Several customers have DD ..  no problems at all. Trying to sign a client up for DD and all of a sudden major issues!  Spent 3.5 hours on the phone with support yesterday and my issues are still not solved! Requirements of submitting all business contact info, the principal officer info and the bank account...which had to be done manually, because as an agent, we don't want online access to a clients bank account; however, in this circumstance our client does NOT use online banking.  Therefore the banking information can not be done 'live'  The manual entry of the bank account, routing number, etc., has been filled out, and the system says it will take about 5 minutes.  My system has been spinning around and around and around for 35 minutes so far, and nothing is being done.  If I X out the screen, it won't save the info (as I found out yesterday).So here I sit, investing time I don't have to

Using QuickBooks Accountant Desktop Plus 2024.Trying to setup a client to use Direct Deposit to pay employees.I type in all the information asked for from the Activate Direct Deposit (Employees>My Payroll Service>Activate Direct Deposit) screen.When I click on Accept and Submit get a screen saying "something's not quite right". I have tried resetting updates, accessing the QBW.ini File and manipulating "PAYROLL_BUNDLE_STATE=Y" to no avail, tried running QB as an Admin, and used Verify Data (no issues). Need to have this setup by end of day. Thanks in advance.

Trying to activate direct deposit on QB Desktop Pro 2022 with enhanced payroll.  I already pay unemployment taxes electronically, so thinking bank is connected.  Here’s what I’ve done: Activated my employee for direct deposit and entered all of his detail, went great.  Tried to run a check, but when I went to send payroll data to Intuit so he would get a pay stub etc, I received this error: Problem uploading data to service. Sign-on was rejected. Additional information from the Payroll Service. Problem: Your bank account is not active and you tried to transmit data. Solution: verify your bank account and then resubmit your request (message code 2000)  So, I find some info on activating by bank account and verifying direct deposit. I received the email about the change coming as of Nov 15, 2025 for new QB Online Payroll subscribers. I am a CPA who processes these payments and files the forms for many of my clients. I have a ridiculous number of times where the client using QBO to perform these functions ended up with incorrect payments and forms by QBO and it took us ages of work to get everything corrected with the corresponding government agencies. I completely disagree with this change and will discourage all clients from initiating new QBO payroll subscriptions and instead use Desktop (even if we have to run their payrolls for them). QB should always allow the professionals the option of turning this off.It is also alarming that they will withdraw the funds from the client's bank accounts and "hold" them until time to send to the appropriate government agency. That seems to be a reach for QB to create earnings for themselves from clients' funds for the time periods of "holding".Changes to payroll tax settings

Hi! I just started at a new job, I have seen the invite to the company in my email through Gusto but when trying to accept it, it takes me to the Quick books Workforce login, I am able to add my long in info but after logging in I get an error that says “there is no company associated with this account” and it kicks me back to the login page. On my companies end it says I have received and accepted the invite. They haven't been able to delete my profile in there system to resend. I have called Quickbooks twice, the second time a ticket was put in and was told I would get a call back. I haven’t heard anything. My manager has also called a few times and has been unable to speak with someone to fix the issue. 

.I'm trying to tie the 941 to the GL (transaction register), and since QBO payroll reports wages as net, I'm unable to reconcile them.Does anyone know of a shortcut to make them agree? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Desktop 2024 payroll, under pay employees the recent payrolls are missing, I have tried everything to fix this but still missing, renamed the tlg file, redid a paycheck, verified and rebuilt file still nothing WTF

Active payroll items that I have used for 15 years have disappeared from the Enter Payroll screen in QB Desktop.  They are not showing as items I can add in Available Columns.  New active payroll items are unavailable to add as well.  There are inactive payroll items now showing up.  QB Support has been unable to help or fix.  Any suggestions.
