Transaction detail reports in Modern Reports can now show separate 'Debit' and 'Credit' columns. Turn them on in 'Report Default Settings'. You can review debits and credits side by side without exporting the report.
When you compare a custom date range to the previous period in Modern Reports, QuickBooks now picks the matching previous month for you. This is on by default. You get the right comparison without setting the dates by hand.
If you edit a transaction and a Modern Report reloads before your change is included, the report now prompts you to refresh it. You can trust that the numbers you see include your latest edits.
In the QuickBooks Workforce app on Android, devices running Android 8 no longer see an 'App update required' message that can't be dismissed. Previously, the app would ask these devices to update even though no newer version supports Android 8. Update prompts now only appear on devices that can install the update.
The Undeposited Funds check in the books close review now leaves out transactions that have already been deposited. The list matches the Undeposited Funds table you already know, so you review only the payments still waiting to be deposited. This saves you from scrolling past deposits you have already handled.
Customizing the date range on the Budget vs Actuals report now keeps the budget figures for affected QuickBooks Online Advanced UK companies. Previously, the report could go blank. You can review quarterly results against your annual budget.
The Budget vs Actuals custom report by class now shows the budget column when a budget is selected. Previously, the column could be blank even though the Budget Overview showed the budget. You can compare class budgets with actuals in one report.
When a customer pays a deposit on an estimate through QuickBooks Payments and you convert the estimate to an invoice, the deposit is now applied to the invoice. Previously, the deposit could also stay behind as a separate payment in Undeposited Funds, so it showed up twice. You no longer need to delete the extra payment by hand after each conversion.
Payroll tax payments now move to a final status automatically once the related tax filing is finalized. This keeps your tax forms from showing payments as pending after the money was already withdrawn. You no longer need to wait for a manual update to see the right payment status.
Budget vs Actuals custom reports now open with data instead of a blank page for affected companies. Previously, clicking the report showed an empty screen with no error. You can review your budget results again.
After you create or change a class budget, the budget column on the Budget vs Actuals report now shows the updated amounts. Previously, the column could show no amount for the class. You see current budget numbers without extra steps.
The Budget vs Actuals report now stays populated after you customize the date range (e.g. Q1) for affected companies. Previously, the budget figures could disappear and the report could load as a blank page. You can review quarterly results against your annual budget.
The Budget vs Actuals report now shows data instead of a blank page for affected companies in QuickBooks Online Canada. Previously, only the export button appeared above an empty report. You can review your budget results again.
In the modern view, the Budget vs Actuals report now fills in the budget column so its figures match the Budget report. Previously, the budget column could be empty. You can trust the comparison against your budget.
When you schedule a custom Budget vs Actuals report that is filtered to one class, the Excel file that is emailed now honors that filter. Previously, the file listed all classes, with actuals only for the filtered class. You get the same view in the email as on screen.
When you add a memo to a Receive Payment transaction in the Undeposited Funds check, the memo now saves. This keeps the payment details you record with the transaction. You no longer have to re-enter the memo.
The Budget vs Actuals and Budget Overview reports now open from the Standard reports page without the 'We couldn't load this report' error. Previously, the error appeared for some companies. You can run both reports from the standard list again.
On iOS, Intuit Intelligence can now use your budget to answer budget variance questions. Previously, it replied that the variance could not be calculated. You can ask how you are tracking against your budget without opening a report.
In the modern view of the Budget vs Actuals report by class, budget totals now appear under the class they were assigned to. Previously, all budget totals were grouped under 'Not Specified'. You can compare each class's budget with its actuals without switching to classic view.
Emailing the Budget vs Actuals report from QuickBooks is fixed. Previously, emailing the report did not work. You can share the report without exporting it first.
On iOS, swiping to undo a transaction now happens right away, without an 'Are you sure' warning first. This matches how undo works on the web. You save a tap each time you undo a transaction.
When a client attaches a file to a response in the Customer Hub inbox, the file is now linked to the related transaction automatically. A note next to the attachment in the conversation shows that it was linked. You no longer have to download and re-attach client files to the transaction yourself.
When you print or export a group of Modern Reports to PDF, the print preview now shows header details such as the company name. The layout of the printout was also updated to follow the same format as a single Modern Report. You spend less time fixing printouts before you share them.
Payroll tax withdrawals now carry a unique reference that QuickBooks can match to your bank feed automatically, even when several withdrawals are for the same amount. The reference also includes the payee name, so you can tell withdrawals apart in your bank activity. You spend less time matching tax withdrawals by hand during reconciliation.
When you apply more vendor credit than is available, or more credit than the bills due, Pay Bills now shows a message that explains the problem. Previously, you would see the generic message 'Something's not working. Try refreshing the page and check back.' You now know what to fix instead of retrying the payment.
