In the QuickBooks Workforce app, a clock-out error that showed 'Your info didn't load' for some employees was addressed. Previously, affected employees would need to clock out on the web instead. You can now clock out from your phone without the extra step.
An update to Payroll Tax Center keeps the date your electronic tax payments started when other enrollment details change. This helps keep scheduled tax payments in line with your enrollment. You spend less time checking which tax payments are scheduled.
If you cancel a scheduled bill payment in Pay Bills, the cancellation is now processed more reliably. This fix applies to how canceled bill payments are handled behind the scenes. You can cancel a payment with more confidence that it won't go out.
On Android, an inline error on the time clock in the QuickBooks Workforce app now clears as soon as you select a new value. Previously, the error would stay on screen until you clocked in. You no longer have to clock in just to get rid of an outdated message.
On Android, saving a timesheet in the QuickBooks Workforce app with a class or service item that isn't available anymore, or a customer the employee isn't assigned to, now shows an inline error on that field. Previously, the app would replace the form with a generic full-screen error. You can pick a different option and save without re-entering your time.
In Intuit Accountant Suite (IAS), primary admins can now turn on the 'Include deleted clients' filter in a user group to see clients that were disassociated from your firm. You can add these clients to the group so its users get access to them. This saves you from losing track of clients that still have tax returns to work on.
On Android, the messages that appear in the QuickBooks Workforce app when timesheets for a date are locked or a timesheet was deleted now have tighter spacing above the 'Got it' button. The layout now matches the rest of the app. You can read the message and dismiss it at a glance.
On Android, searching the customer list in the QuickBooks Workforce app with no matching results now shows a no-results screen. Previously, the app would show the screen saying no customers were assigned, even when the employee had customers. You can tell right away to adjust your search instead of contacting your employer.
On Android, when an employee selects a customer they're no longer assigned to in the QuickBooks Workforce app, the field now shows an inline error. Previously, the app would send them back to the customer list without explaining why. You now know to choose a different customer instead of trying the same one again.
Accounts that payroll creates and uses in your Chart of Accounts (e.g. Payroll Refunds) can no longer be deleted, merged or edited. This keeps payroll transactions posting to the right account in your books. You spend less time fixing payroll entries that land in the wrong place.
On Android, inline error messages on the QuickBooks Workforce app time clock and timesheets now wrap onto more than one line. Previously, longer messages (e.g. that a service item isn't available anymore) would be cut off on narrow screens or larger text sizes. You can read the whole instruction and fix the field without guessing.
When your Payments account is not active for money-in, a refund receipt now points to your account instead of showing a payment method error. You no longer have to check your card or payment method when the account is the cause. This saves you time chasing the wrong problem.
Improvements were made for cases where you enter valid credentials in the iOS app and end up back at the sign-in screen. Getting into the mobile app should take fewer retries and less time.
Improvements were made for cases where the 'Loading company' screen could keep spinning after you sign in to the iOS app. You should get into your company without force-closing and reopening the app.
In the iOS app, a receipt you save as an expense now moves to the 'Reviewed' tab and no longer sits on 'For Review' with an overlapping badge. Less time spent sorting out what still needs your attention.
Paychecks from QuickBooks Payroll can now be matched to their bank feed entries more easily, so they're simpler to clear when you reconcile. Less time matching payroll by hand before you can close the month.
The subscription cancellation flow now adapts to mobile screen sizes. Cancel from your phone without zooming or scrolling sideways.
When you add or update a payment method in a client's company as an accountant, the 'Save to Intuit profile' checkbox no longer appears. Your client's card stays with their company instead of showing up in your other QuickBooks accounts. No cleaning up client cards from your own accounts or explaining them later.
If you cancel a scheduled bill payment in Pay Bills after the money has already started leaving your bank account, QuickBooks now refunds that amount to you automatically. Previously, the automatic refund for these late cancellations could be rejected. You no longer need to contact support to get that money back.
The 'New' label and red dot no longer show on 'Customer Hub', 'Customer Hub Overview' or the 'Note' quick action in the Android app. You'll see fewer distracting badges on features you already use.
Employees who are assigned to customers or projects are now asked to choose one when they clock in or out on the QuickBooks Workforce app. Previously, the app could skip the customer step, and the clock in or clock out would fail with a generic error. Employees now pick a customer up front instead of retrying a punch that won't save.
When you add a product or service, the 'Sales tax category' you pick is no longer replaced by an automatic suggestion as you fill in other fields. The suggestion can still fill in first, but your choice is kept once you make one. You no longer have to recheck the field before you save each item.
When updating a vendor's existing ACH bank details fails, QuickBooks now shows 'This account can't be added. Try a different account.' Previously, the message would say 'There was an issue saving this data. Try again later', even though retrying the same account would not work. You now know to use a different account instead of retrying.
On the 'Posted' tab of your bank transactions, US customers can now bulk reclassify posted sales receipts, which was already available outside the US. All customers can now edit posted sales receipts inline, even with class and location tracking turned off. Fix categories on posted sales receipts without opening each one.
When you pick a value for a standard or custom field on an active timesheet in the QuickBooks Workforce app on iOS, the selected value now shows on the time clock screen. Previously, the screen would keep showing the old value even though the new one was saved. You can now confirm your entry at a glance without reopening the field.
