When I 1st began using QBO with my first client, I was given a free QBO for myself. Then I learned about QBOA & signed up. Now I need to get my QBO to my QBOA account?

Hi there, @Rev-Bill-Fix-Jr.

Thank you for posting in the Community. I'd be happy to help share some information about how to move data from your QuickBooks Online to your new QuickBooks Online Accountant account.

Please take note that QuickBooks Online Simple Start and QuickBooks Self-Employed subscriptions cannot be added to Wholesale Billing.

Here's how:

  1. In QuickBooks Online Accountant, click the Gear menu at the top right.
  2. Select Your Company.
  3. Click the Move clients to wholesale button.
  4. Place a check-mark () next to the account you wish to move.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Click Move Clients.

After that, you'll see a screen that shows if the file is migrated successfully. I've attached an article for more information and detailed steps:

For additional help, feel free to reach out to our Customer Care support. They have the tools that can help you get this resolved quickly.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. At the top right, click the Help icon.
  3. At the bottom, click Contact Us

That should point you in the right direction today.

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions about transferring data from one company file to another in QuickBooks Online. I'll be happy to help you out.

You will have to subscribe to an app; I believe Chronobooks can do this, but not sure.

Another option is to export to Desktop from QBO, and then back to the QBOA

How do I move or migrate my own FREE QBO to QBOA for Accountant?
Now my FREE QBO is no long free and being charged at full retail price.
It will cost me USD 210 to migrate my data from QBO to QBOA by Odyssey Resources.
Please advise

I never thought it would cost that much to move your data, Peter. I got a free options for you.

Option 1: You can export your data to QuickBooks Desktop, and then import it to your QBOA account. This process was designed to work on Internet Explorer, so if you don’t have it anymore, you can consider Option 2. Obviously, you will need a QuickBooks Desktop in this process. We have a downloadable trial version that you can use in this process.

Please know that there are certain limitations when exporting from QBO to QBDT due to the differences on the platforms. Then, when you convert from QBDT to QBOA, your entire QBOA will be replaced by the QBDT data.

The other option is to export your list of names, accounts, and items to Excel. Then, import them to your QBOA account. This article has steps to guide you throughout the process: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online.

About your transactions, you can manually enter them, or you can connect your bank account to download them. For the transactions beyond 90 days, you can download them from your bank account, and upload into the Banking page. After that, you can categorize and add them to your books.

If you have questions in the middle of the transfer process, you can use this thread.
