Where do I find my 1099?

I can help you look for you 1099, jeff-houndogschi.

After your employer or client submits your 1099-MISC to the IRS, you'll get an email when it's ready for download. Select the link in the email to sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed. Once you receive it, follow these steps:

  1. Select the link in the email to sign in
  2. Go to the Clients menu.
  3. Select the Forms tab.

Your employer can send the form to you by email or paper copy.  I'll add this article for more information: 1099s in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Know that I'm only a few clicks away if you have any other issues or concerns. Take care always and stay safe.

I got the email, and was able to view the 1099, but didn't download it. When I went back to view it again and download it, I was told the invitation had expired. I can still sign in, but I can't find it anywhere in my documents on the site.

Hello there, @jeff-houndogschi. I'd like to provide further details about accessing your 1099.

Please note that the link sent to you expires after 24 hours. In this case, you can ask your employer to resend the link. This helps you view your 1099 form and download it.

You can share with your employer this article so they can send you the invitation to enter your W-9 information and view the 1099 form: Invite a contractor to add their own tax info.

Afterward, you can click on the link and view your 1099 form on the Forms section under the Clients menu in QuickBooks Self-Employed as advised by my colleague above.

While working with QuickBooks Self-Employed, you'll want to check this article for additional information: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.

Please let us know how it goes. We'll be around if you need further help, jeff-houndogschi. Stay safe always.
