Which entities to use in QuickBooks Online?

Thanks for coming back and clarifying things, Jaehoon Lee.

I'm here to get you pointed in the right direction so you'll be able to import QuickBooks SDK data into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

All third-party integrations in any version require developers' expertise. In this case, it would be best to post this question to our Intuit Developer Forum to get an answer from one of the experts handling software integration.

They can also provide detailed information on what QBO entity you'll need to use to map the transactions when importing them from QuickBooks SDK. Here's how to reach them:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Online
  3. Tick the Ask a Question tab.
  4. Then, enter your concern and wait for our developers' expert to reply with your concern.

Visit our Connect, sync, and use apps with Intuit products page for more insights about syncing third-party applications.

You can always count on me if you need anything else in QuickBooks. I'm always here to address them for you. You have a good one.

Which entities to use in QuickBooks Online?

Thanks for integrating QuickBooks Online (QBO) on your system in running your business. Let me share some information about QBO features, Jaehoon Lee.

In QBO, we use the Vendor entity only. If you're trying to migrate QuickBooks Desktop into Online version, the Vendor Type is not converted. Though, all the vendors in your Desktop data file will be converted to QBO. I've attached a screenshot below for your reference.

To learn more about this one, refer to this article: What to expect when you switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online

For Checks and Recieve Payment, we use the same entity for both versions. You can find them in QBO by clicking the New Plus tab. Then, go to Customers section and choose Receive payment. For creating Check, just go to the Vendors section.

For more details about this one, check out these articles:

To give you full details about the difference between QBO and QuickBooks Desktop, refer to these articles:

For more insights about managing your business in QBO, check out this link: QuickBooks Online Get Started.

That should point you in the right direction. I'll be right here to continue helping if you have any other concerns or questions about QuickBooks. Assistance is just a post away. You have a good one.

Which entities to use in QuickBooks Online?

Hello RCV.

Thank you for your support.

Integration mean that importing our system data into QuickBooks Online using QuickBooks SDK, not switching Desktop to Online.

For example, import our contacts data, it may added into customer using CustomerAddRq QBXML (actullay i'm using 3rd party library, but library internally works in QBXML )  request.

In case of Checks in QuickBooks Desktop, I will use CheckAddRq QBXML request. but QuickBooks Online does not provide Checks or similar entities.

So I need a information which entities matches in listed table below. (I understood Vendor Type is not support)
