Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to link the bill payment with the correct account, MadJack11.
We can delete and recreate the bill payment and choose a credit card in the Method field. Then, choose the correct credit card in the Account field when paying the bills. Before performing the steps, we'll need to create a backup file just in case you ever run into problems, just use your backup to restore your data.
Then, delete the bill payment check. Just follow the steps and details in the Void or delete a bill or bill payment check article. Once done, recreate the bill payment check by following the steps below:
- Go to Vendors.
- Choose Pay Bills.
- Fill in the necessary information.
- Choose Credit Card as Method.
- In the Account field, choose the credit card account.
- Click Pay Selected Bills.

- Go to Reports on the top menu.
- Choose Vendors & Payables. Then, click Transaction List by Vendor.
- Tap Customize Report. Go to the Filters tab.
- Select Transaction Type. Then, choose Multiple Transaction Types.
- Check the Bill and Bill Payment. Then OK.
- Hit Refresh.
